Re: JIFFY LUBE LIVE concert this Saturday. Just got off the phone with a Rep. from Margaritaville and was told that IT IS UP TO JIMMY to make the decision on holding this concert and that decision would not be made until THE DAY OF THE CONCERT! I was told that this happened in MA a few years ago and Jimmy decided to start the concert EARLY the same day instead of cancelling it. I was also told to keep checking Margaritaville.com for any possible announcements!

For GW ......it was announced at the Thursday show , that he would be starting at 3 to hopefully dodge the storm...FYI.....he didn't dodge it totally.....i got soaked......since there is NO tailgating....he might as well do a morning show.....reverse tailgate...enjoy the show...then go to a hotel and party the night away!!

unless it is specifically in his contract, it's hard to believe he is responsible for the final say and not the venue owners and local officials. (and I am not going to open the can of worms about his people being called responsible for performance decisions and are out of his hands)

not that this will help since I don't vote in VA but...I just emailed this to the governor's office.

Some of the comments are pretty funny - like "WTF? The governor has already declared a state of emergency and you're MONITORING the situation?!!!" I think they're afraid no one will want tix for a rescheduled show under the circumstances
