Yes, you'd think that public safety would be at the top of everyone's list.........

Found this on the JLL FB site (I have no idea why I'm so into this, I wasn't planning on going, I guess I"m just bored waiting to see what happens up here)

BTW: I spoke with both Prince Wm public safety office and JL Live: they will make a joint decision according to public safety. Jimmy could cancel. But, if he doesn't the Fire Chief McGee has final say and then you can show up to an empty ampitheater and watch the show - it'll be a doozy, that's for sure!

I agree someone needs to be the grownup here. Unfortunately when money is on the line.....
I'm certain that JLL knows that just about everyone is going to want their money back as opposed to tickets to a rescheduled event.
Sadly, I have to agree.......too bad for all involved.

Update: Just heard Carson Cooper on RM telling people to tune into the Bristow show tomorrow night.......unbelievable!

i'm sure JLL has a open date on the schedule to accommodate both Jimmy and JLL......just move the show.....moving it to Sunday or even next week would be tough , because you don't know of the damage that could be potentially done......if we are getting the storm Sat night into Sunday.....i'm guessing that area will be hit Sat at some point....only other thing that could be done , is move to a morning start.....but do u still want people on the roads after the show , driving into a storm.....he has to make a call on this soon ( this morning)

Irene isn't really supposed to be too powerful or damaging up by Boston, MA. But, just to be safe and accomodate people who travel (and, of course, create necessary revenue) the Red Sox have moved their Sunday game to Saturday where they will play a double header.

Other sports teams and other events have been moved as well (some, like the Red Sox, who are farther norther then Bristow, VA).

So, really, Bristow? Would seem like this is a no brainer. I am sure the concert itself will be safe but the travel to and from won't. This is, as we say up in my home town, re-taaaaahded.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

That's just wrong, as you pointed out the weather isn't just about the corridor of the storm people are coming from all over the place and now flights and trains have been cancelled.

I guess Kenny Chesney moved one of his Gillette Stadium shows up in MA (Where the weather won't be as severe as Bristow) . . .

Im really not sure @ this point....as much as I want to see you guys and another show....
I have to say I'd rather them postpone because of sooo many of the reasons stated in earlier posts that I
agree with. I haven't spoken to my driver yet today but he was sounding a lil concerned when I talked to
him on Tues.
You guys on your way down?

Prince William County is now under a Tropical Storm Warning. C'mon, JLL and JB, it's time to do the right thing. Either do the show at noon or reschedule/cancel it. Pull the trigger.

we are leaving close to noon today - spending some time with SurfPirate at his place, then heading to John Prine with SP & Mrs. SP. Then on to Manassas. If they cancel the show we may just head home later on Saturday.

Hi, first time poster here! Traveled from Seattle for this show & explore DC so will be sooo disappointed if it's cancelled. Anyone know Live Nations refund policy? Their website is useless! Jimmy - this is why you should have more
west coast shows! We don't get hurricanes in Washington & the earthquakes don't bother us! Volcanoes are another story...
