We can have a big group hug and a drink in a blue cup, both in his honor!

Just noticed this post on their "discussion" thread, but I can't verify how true the comment is.coxdug wrote:JLL started a discussion thread on Facebook yesterday. Not much info yet but I'll definitely keep looking. The link is http://on.fb.me/eJT1OE.

"Have some friends who are close to Buffett productions. They are outraged and may move the venue this year to an alternative location? I'm not sure where or when, but D.C. may be an option. I do know he will not be returning to JLL next year for sure and he is encouraging other performers from avoiding this venue".
I'm doubtful, but this post can serve as a bump anyway.
That is all.
No, not a thing........FunkHouse9 wrote:Have I missed anything?

Maybe they meant no Nautical Wheelers allowed into the show?backstreets77 wrote:Yes they put No Nautical Wheelers policy on the front of the tickets. Go over to Jiffy Lubes facebook and let them have it.Bfan53again wrote:No, not a thing........FunkHouse9 wrote:Have I missed anything?![]()

Jiffy Lube Live
Dear Facebook Community. We have taken several of your questions and created an FAQ. We hope that this will give you a better understanding of the policy change and thank you for your patience.
Q. Is drinking allowed in the parking lots (tailgating)?
A. Consuming alcohol in public is against VA State Law and will be enforced by local law enforcement. Virginia State Law (4.1-308 and 18.2-388) prohibits drinking in public and public intoxication, respectively.
Q. Why the change in tailgating policy?
A. For the safety of all patrons, we are addressing the concerns of Virginia State Law (4.1-308 and 18.2-388) that prohibits drinking in public and public intoxication, respectively.
Q. How do you plan to handle the traffic situation?
A. We work closely with traffic operations and local law enforcement to make sure everyone enters the facility in a safe and timely fashion. Adjustments to door and gate times will be made accordingly.
Q. What time will parking lots open for concerts?
A. Generally parking lots will open 1 hour prior to doors, however it may be necessary to open the parking lots earlier based on crowd size. To confirm exact parking lot, doors and show times, please feel free to call the week of the show as they are subject to change.

Utvolzac wrote:JLL's response is a complete cop-out. The parking lot is not public property. The police are hired off duty to work as additional security by the venue. They are not being paid to be there from the public fund. JLL is making this policy, not the State or Local Police. Nobody should accept this as the reason for the tailgating ban.
You mean the ones writhing on a stripper pole in wet t shirts?Saltx3 wrote:Utvolzac wrote:JLL's response is a complete cop-out. The parking lot is not public property. Just in case....can you give us your cell # to call from the local prison![]()
JK -- I too do not believe they will be able to enforce any of this with the exception of the really out of control/obviously drunknstupid ones

Where does the stripper pole fit into this?Bfan53again wrote:Let's assume that JLL decides to enforce their new "no tailgating" policy. How does the day of August 27 unfold?
> Caravans of Parrotheads appear before Noon, as usual
> JLL personnel keep the parking lots closed
> Local police deny PH parking along the road and are told to "keep moving"
> More PH arrive in the early afternoon, as usual wondering why all the traffic?
> More traffic backing up on Wellington Road, now starts to affect connecting routes
> By mid-afternoon what appears to be a moving wagon train of PH is now looping the area roads and traffic on I-66 becomes snarled
> PH stuck in traffic began running out of gas, cars now block roads and intersections, many now seeking rest rooms as well
> TV traffic copters appear to report on the "unusual" congestion in the Manassas area
> PH still circling begin hurling food items that are spoiling in the late summer heat at JLL personnel (those deviled eggs and salsa are getting a wee bit ripe....)
> VA Governor mobilizes the National Guard
> National Guard can't get into the area now that PH are backed up to the suburbs of DC, many troops now express their support for the PH Nation
> Obama is notified by his National Security Director of an "incident" in the Manassas area
> White House scrambles fighter jets to survey the situation
> Pilots can't see much due to heavy smoke as PH have fired up their grills where they are parked yelling "Nobody can stop us from tailgating!!!!!"
> JB & the CRB cannot get to JLL either so they special order fish sandwiches & conch fritters from B. O.'s in Key West, JB has already dispatched his private jet for the pick up with orders "Don't forget the hot sauce!"
> Finally, at the urging of the White House and after intense negotiations with PH leaders (many being BNers for some reason....), JLL management relents and open the lots at 2 pm rather than the planned 3 pm
> Traffic begins flowing from all directions into JLL, slowly, but surely
> CNN now reporting live from the scene
> Congress men & women suddenly appear (many wearing flowered shirts) announcing their support of PH concerned about votes in the next election
> JB's jet arrives with the fish sandwiches and the show starts about 8:20 pm
> Obama announces that a "full investigation" of the incident will begin immediately and that costs associated with the day's events will add to the National Debt in "untold" amounts
Now really JLL management, do you want this to really happen.......![]()

Just open the frickin' lots at Noon and get out of our way.....
