So we'll land in an estimated third place when all is said and done.
What exactly that you'll "win"? What happens by remaining in the top 10? Am I voting with a purpose?

This chart is not showing "up-and-coming-racecars" that are getting more votes/day than we arebuffettbride wrote:So we'll land in an estimated third place when all is said and done.

but haven't yet cracked the top ten. Third place at this pace is not guaranteed.
Nor even is the TOP TEN.
We are in phase 1A of the contest.
PHASE 1A
Popular vote. Voting ends in 20 days. Each entry gets an exact 15 day window for rallying votes.
PHASE 1B
A panel of judges determine the 10 Finalists based on the following criteria:
* Originality of the Design when compared to other Designs (20%);
* Feasibility of the Design to be applied to a two-seater NASCAR show car (20%);
* Creativity demonstrated by the application of user-uploaded images and/or pre-loaded Sponsafier graphics to the Design to the Design (20%);
* Ability of the Design to inspire consumers (20%); and
* Public Appeal (20%).
Phase 2: Public voting on the selected 10 Finalists
PRIZES:
TEN (10) FINALIST PRIZES: A customized helmet featuring the Finalist's "Sponsafied" car graphics. Size of helmet and design/layout of graphics selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion. ARV: $1,250.
ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: The opportunity to have your design applied to a Toyota NASCAR Sprint Cup car; a NASCAR driver visit for the winner; and a prize pack consisting of Sponsor selected Toyota Racing Gear (size, type and style of gear selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion). For the NASCAR driver experience: Details and schedule are to be mutually agreed upon by winner and Sponsor. NASCAR driver experience must be scheduled and agreed upon between Sponsor and winner by December 31, 2011 or will be forfeited in its entirety. Specific NASCAR driver based on winner's preference from those drivers featured on the http://www.sponsafier.com site but determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. For Car Design: All terms set forth in Section 5 and Section 7 of these Official Rules apply to the winning Design. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to modify the winner's Design. Design will be featured at the 2011 NASCAR Sprint® All-Star Race. Sponsor is not responsible if race is delayed, postponed or cancelled, in which event Sponsor may not feature the winner's Design. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $10,000.
Any prizes will be donated to Parties That Matter for auction as a fund raiser.
We win simply by getting the vote out and thus the message about Parties That Matter
and the work that parrotheads are capable of doing when they "Party With A purpose".
Anything above that is a bonus. And we have a chance at the TOP TEN.
Winners will be determined via the process set forth below.
* Public Voting Part I: For a period of fifteen (15) days from the time an entrant's Design is approved after being uploaded as part of the Submission Phase per the process set forth in Section 5, above, each such eligible Design will be posted for public voting on http://www.sponsafier.com during the Public Voting I Phase. Persons who meet the eligibility criteria set forth in Section 1 will be invited to vote for the Design that they believe has the most public appeal (each such person a "Voter"). The number of votes a Design gains during the Public Voting I Phase will go towards that Design's score in the Public Appeal category of the Judging Criteria as part of the Finalist Selection Phase, as listed below in Section 6(i). Limit: Each Voter may vote for as many Designs as he/she likes, one (1) time per Design per day during this time period.
* Finalist Selection: During the Finalist Selection Phase, qualified judges selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion (the "Qualified Judges") will review and judge all Designs according to the following criteria (the "Judging Criteria"):
o Originality of the Design when compared to other Designs (20%);
o Feasibility of the Design to be applied to a two-seater NASCAR show car (20%);
o Creativity demonstrated by the application of user-uploaded images and/or pre-loaded Sponsafier graphics to the Design to the Design (20%);
o Ability of the Design to inspire consumers (20%); and
o Public Appeal (20%).
Subject to the entrant's compliance with these Official Rules, the ten (10) entrants with the highest-scoring Designs will be deemed potential Finalist Prize winners and will advance to the Public Voting II Phase. In the event of a tie between two (2) or more Designs or in the event a potential Finalist is found to be in violation of these Official Rules, the Qualified Judges, in their sole discretion, will select the potential Finalist based on which Design has the higher score in the Originality category of the Judging Criteria, or will select the next highest scoring Design.
* Public Voting II: During the Public Voting II Phase, Finalist Designs will be posted for public voting on http://www.sponsafier.com. Voters will be invited to vote for the Design that they believe has the most public appeal. The number of votes a Design gains during the Public Voting II Phase will go towards that Design's score in the Public Appeal category of the Judging Criteria as part of the Winner Determination Phase, as listed below in Section 6(iv). Limit: Each Voter may vote for only one (1) Design one (1) time per day during this time period.
* Winner Determination: During the Winner Determination Phase, Qualified Judges will review and judge all Finalist Designs according to the Judging Criteria as listed above in Section 6(ii).
Subject to the entrant's compliance with these Official Rules, the entrant with the highest-scoring Design will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner. In the event of a tie between two (2) or more Designs or in the event the potential Grand Prize winner is found to be in violation of these Official Rules, the qualified judges, in their sole discretion, will select the potential Grand Prize winner based on which Design has the higher score in the Feasibility category, or will select the next highest scoring Design.
For All Prizes: All prize awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.
For all Voting Phases: Multiple votes received for the same Design on the same day from any person or email address after the first vote received from that person or email address will be void. Entrants are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Multiple Voters are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any Voter to submit more than the stated number of votes by using multiple/different email addresses, identities or any other method will void that Voter's entry into the Contest (if any) and votes and he/she will be disqualified from further participation in the Promotion. Use of script, macro or any other automated system to vote is prohibited and all such votes will be void. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, garbled, delayed, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected votes, which will be void. In the event of a dispute as to any vote, the authorized account holder of the email address used to vote will be deemed to be the Voter.

Re: GO!GO!GO! Vote NOW! Spirit of Vicki / Parties That Matter
By the way. The car in first place is being voted on by the
Free State Project (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_State_Project).
I find it somewhat amusing that an organization of secessionists who advocate
moving to New Hampshire and setting up a new society;
who participate in peaceful civil disobedience and rarely get involved in U.S. politics,
including voting for politicians ....
... still manage to garner enough support to vote a Toyota advertising campaign contest entry
into first place.
