It's not that bad. Bring a bike with you. I was just down there this weekend working on the house and road by the bar on the way to lunch, people are starting to fill the town on the weekends.Born to Rum wrote:I just Google Mapped Flip Flopz, Harbor Light, and North Wind. Re: Who is Going to Spring PHling? Wildwood, NJ 4/28-5/1
Hello Buffettnews People...
We are having a "SpringPHling Welcome Tailgate Party" on Friday April 29th from 12:00 - 3:30 in the parking lot at FlipFlopz.
The party started as an impromptu tailgate party last year when Rick and I turned on the music from his van, started the grill on the back of my truck, grabbed our beach chairs, and cracked some beers. As people arrived, they joined in, and it grew in excess of 50 people. A great time was had by all!
This year we decided to get a little more organized, so we attached it as an official part of the SpringPHling festivities. We hope a few musicians will entertain and expect to have Beachfront Radio playing over the speakers. Sunset Chef and Blackjack are going to set up a grill compound and besides some of our signature dishes, with "your help" will attempt to deliver a "Grand Buffett" in the lot.
What a great concept...
come down early for check in, have a few drinks with new and old phriends, enjoy the trop rock sounds, have a good meal, register and get your credentials before the masses arrive, and have a little warm up phun...
So how can you help...
Because this Tailgate Party expects to have easily over 100 people, the expense has grown as well. So besides packing your favorite beverages, we are asking for you to pack something for the buffet. Please bring something that you would like to share, maybe one of your own signature dishes, or something we can throw on the grill, or browse the list below for ideas. Any leftovers will be sent to Maui Deb for "Late Night Buffets". Please remember to lable the bottom of your containers so I can get them back to you, and remember koozies and cups to mask the alcohol from the local law enforcement. Send me a message of what you are bringing so I can track what we have and still need, and feel free to message me with any questions or ideas you may have.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
Sunset Chef

We usually stay at 2nd and Surf when we come down for our week's vacation;
and we walk to either Keenan's or FlipFlopz every night.
Never really thought about how far it was before;
but we usually fill up water bottles and pre-game it on the way there,
or stop at the number one tavern and have a Super Tully Nut on the way.
Me and the Mrs are staying at the North Wind too; so we can all walk it together.
but my friends just call me RAGZ; so feel free.

Passed out and I rallied and I sprung a few leaks.

It's a secret
(5 Liquor Drink)
The only person who knows the formula is Mark Tully.
It was created by Mark in 1969. He spent the winter of 1968-1969 putting together different liquors and came up with 4 different drinks - 2 with 4 liquors and 2 with 5 liquors.
Before the summer of 1969, Mark invited his wife, father, and two of his bartenders to taste the different drinks to decide which one they liked best. They all chose the same and they named it SUPER TULLY NUT.
The #1 Tavern is the only place in the world where the...
SUPER TULLY NUT is sold!
To me, it tastes like Hawiian Punch and Gasoline; and has the same effect.
but my friends just call me RAGZ; so feel free.

I was just thinking about last year...the good...the bad...and the stinky....
The place we stayed last year had been closed up all winter and they had opened it up just for us...well, it was a bit musty...
Just a suggestion, add your favorite Yankee Candle to your list of things to bring with you. The fresh smell will cover the "winter odor" of your room....
