I completely understand where you are coming from Terry. I had a nasty week too. It makes me wonder why I am in the profession that I have chosen. The university president gave us the day off today, so my attitude is much better. Plus, the photos from FFFV gave me some much needed smiles. Hang in there my phriend. I hope you have a chance to relax this weekend and have a better week next week.

So have the 2012 tour dates been announced yet? I have to book my room at the Holiday Inn Express.

My brain is really not doing well after the long days of volunteering, walking the lots and of course the concert, but I wanted to say (1) we are finally home, (2) each year I feel that we BN pholks have something nobody else has and I'm very grateful for it. Anyone can go to the red lot or even the gold lot and pull up an RV or two and party like a mad man. Come to our lot and we'll party, but we'll take care of each other too. We share (thanks Pirate Nurse for the coffee so I could make more coffee) with each other, with strangers and we take care of the officials. I am privileged to have found this great group. I wish I could list each of you that made a difference for me this year, but I hope you know who you are because I can't remember all your names. Next year I'm going to have to slow down some more. I was too exhausted to enjoy some of the concert. Next year I'm going to get tickets with ETP because I sat with LSPHC and they talked during most of the concert/were drunk or even arguing.

Apologies out to anyone that had this happen in the LSPHC section. We handle the tickets for all of the South Region parrotheads. More tickets were sold to outside clubs (Galveston Bay, Central Texas, Houston, 5 O'Clock Phlock, Centrol Oklahoma, Cedar Creek, Seguin, NW Arkansas, etc.) than to LSPHC members. On top of that, many of those people had to sell them so we had a lot of people in our area we didn't even know (trust me, I had 3 on one row and 3 on the other and someone next to us was NOT anyone I knew and I think they were sold tickets by another club). That said, I saw a LOT of overserved pholks having the times of their lives and I am certain many were in LSPHC....it is a Buffett concert and it does start early. I hope you can see you way to hanging with us another time, I promise we are a phun group, as are all the parrot head pholks!!!

I just sent out the final Friday Update email. I sent it out as a BCC, so check your bulk folders and let me know if you didn't get it.

Thanks to your combined efforts and support, we raised $6,500 for charity this year, to be distributed as follows;
Terry Mathews - $2,500
Michael French - $2,500
National Breast Cancer Foundation - $500
Why Me - $500
Jonathan's Place - $500

I will mail out the distributions to the recipients starting this coming Monday 6/6.

In addition, all of the leftover perishable food items were donated to Jonathan's Place on 5/23.

I received the concert CD's from gingerbreadman Dave today, and I will get the masters out to the distributors next week.

Oh, wow. I posted a reply just a few minutes ago, but it's gone?

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard during the FFFV. It's odd for me to be on the receiving end, but the past year has taught me to accept the good things the universe presents and ya'll are some of the best gifts ever.

2010 was really hard on my family and me, but we worked through it, made some serious sacrifices and learned some important lessons.

In 2012, I'll be there to lend a hand to someone who needs a lift.

I said the other day that you would have to wait a bit for my response to this; I, believe it or not, couldn't find words. Well, amazingly enough, I still haven't found them...but I hope that those who give of themselves, their money, their time, their love and graciousness - you just cannot understand how far up from the depths of despair you can bring someone. You can only imagine the financial hardship this situation has put me, as a single parent, in - but, at the end of the day, you don't think about the bank balance, you reread page after page of messages of love from people all over the country and thank God for good phriends, both those we've met (ETP, Mr. Play, etc.) to those we just feel as if we have (piratenurse, justshari, etc.)

I feel so blessed, not just because I'll live to write another check, but that we have come in contact with the finest the human race has to offer. Thank you, Bill, thank you, everyone. We will, someday, somehow, pay it forward.

Mailboat arrived today. Thank you all for lending a hand. We're going to pay remaining medical bill balances and insurance premiums with it.

Hopefully, we'll won't have to face tough times again. I'm on Mr. Mathews' insurance now. It's more expensive, but we don't have a $20K deductible anymore.

I'm one lucky parrothead chick.

I'm one of the distributors but I won't know who I'm making copies for until I get my masters in the mail.
