I finally managed to find my password!

I posted a note on Portofino's Facebook page asking for more details, no response. The Michigan Brewer's Guild Summer Beer Festival is Friday and Saturday though, so we decided to do that instead Friday night (because going out at 5pm when it's 90+ sounds like a better idea than at noon). They'll have 50+ breweries and 450+ beers to try.

And, with the Mac show, same as last year- I love Mac, I do not love him enough to pay $250 for Tom and I.

I'm familiar with the Mac McAnally that's won the CMA award three times, but not this one that's won five times

I got the new Carmen Miranda stamps today at the Post Office! Nice artwork...can make them into pins or earrings!

KeyLimin wrote:My consession to the predicted heat is that Carmen may give up on the long skirt and go with shorts or a sundress with her hat instead. 8)

Thanks so much! But when I returned home around an hour ago my wife showed me my ticket, HAND Delivered to the door!
I guess it's true that when it rains it pours.
Thanks so much for thinking about me, see everyone at the park&ride!
Diane leaves at 5:00 am tomorrow, and both boys are on trips.
First solo JB tailgate for me, but with all of you I sure feel like I'm going with the family.

No kidding! We're definitely not doing gumbo. I'm thinking tuna salad.

Neither Gumbo chef this year? Oh well.
Breaking news from Oakland County: a seaplane has crashed a few miles from DTE just an hour or so ago. Pilot's injured but sounds like not too bad. Met him before.
Kind of in the JB spirit of things I guess.

EDIT:TV news just said he's in critical condition, so who knows, this early on in any plane crash most information available is flawed.

Park n Ride as early as 9 AM, though.
As for food, I was going to make Jambalaya, since I can't tolerate gumbo. But it's too hot! Then I thought the food of my hot weather ancestors but it's also too hot for stuffed grape leaves (cold, no meat) and tabbouli (which I make with more wheat than parsley).
So that leaves wraps and fruit! Simple food in hot weather is always best anyway. Anything else is too fussy.
We want to be comfy as possible!

What a difference some cloud cover makes. Just went outside and it's low 80s and very comfortable. Still hot forecast for tomorrow, but 30% chance of storms might mean some clouds and that's a good thing. 17 mph winds will help, too. 8)

Jimmy takes this "Take the Weather with You" a bit too seriously. :D Seems like an awful lot of concerts in hot temps the past few years. (Mods, you can delete this last sentence if this thread turns into a debate about Global Climate Change) [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

I want easy at this point. It's going to be super hot, and I know I'll look at warm food, go "Eh" and go back to drinking, which would end badly, so tuna salad on Hawaiian rolls it is.

The jello shots are done already, I have water bottles frozen. I need to go cook but one of our foster kittens is all curled up in my lap and purring like crazy so I feel bad moving him.
