I see that the North Coast Parrothead Club's bus is sold out. Does anyone else have info on another bus going to/from the Blossom show? Please PM if so!
My job got eliminated as of July 1 but at least that means I don't have to take vacation time for Buffett for the 2nd time in 2 months (was at Pittsburgh last week).

Only 2 1/2 weeks to go! We went to the Kenny Chesney concert at Blossom last week and didn't notice any problem with tailgating. We didn't get there early enough to tailgate but while walking through the lots on our way in it looked like everyone was having a great time. We took the day off for Jimmy though....plan on getting there early Jimmy plays Toronto on Saturday the 16th so he'll have a few days in between before Blossom. I wonder if he'll be around town at all???

tangentially-related to the Blossom show: Last night in the shop, guy shows up wearing concert gear; Hawaiian shirt, shorts, sandals, no lei but close enough. Heads into the humidor, succumbs to the sales talk about joining the Cigar Club. Go to get his email address, and it's buffettnut@yahoo.com or something like that. Shop owner goes nuts, 2 Parrotheads in the shop at once, etc. Talk with him a bit, turns out he is heading for the show at Blossom rather than Cinci because he's taking the kids with him. Told him to look for the BN flag and stop by to say hi. So, if you have someone wander up, smoking a cigar with kids in tow...

From Live Nation via Blossom: they will probably enforce open container laws to an extent. (KEEP READING) They will be looking for people who are visibly drinking booze and beer from bottles/cans. Individuals drinking from plastic cups and containers are OK as long as they aren't flaunting it in front of the enforcers. No grills or open flames. So, just be smart about it.

That works for me, considering the history !!!

I have to post, only cause i'm used to stupid insanity this close to a show. I personally can't wait (except for maybe the parent meeting. That's touch and go.)

better than mom whipping out the baby pictures and saying, "he was such a cute baby, now look at him. I blame his father's side of the family for the results"

Well that's just wonderful. I plan to bring my Margaritaville Tailgate Grill attached to my car... wonder if they will kick me out? I even bought the premium parking for this!

I plan on bringing all my gear with me as well, and just seeing what happens. I figure if everyone shows up expecting to tailgate as normal, and it goes as smoothly as every other venue I've tailgated at a Buffett concert for, everything should be fine. If not, I'll wish I had an RV.

and his next post said lots were opening at 4pm, so unless they've changed their policy in the last week, I think this spells it out.

And this was the one line response I received to the email I sent them an hour ago:

Grilling and alcohol is not permitted in the parking lots at this venue.
