Since the tailgating isn't looking too promising, does anyone know of any pre-parties going on the day of the show at any of the local bars? I'd also like to get on a party bus if anyone knows of any. Thanks and fins up!

since there is no tailgaiting where is everyone going to tailgate. We are staying at the hilton on the beach... we will probably be boozing there but is anything else available? So dissappointed there will be no tailgate, this is going to be my first show.

Our group is preparing to tailgate... we are gonna bring food - no grills for us this time, and we have been told to be "discrete" with your beverages by an anonymous venue person..

Its gonna be a great day and a great concert. Enjoy your day and the concert.

The bar Awful Arthur's (1630 General Booth Blvd, Virginia Beach, 23454) is having a "Tailgate Party" in their parking lot that starts at 1:00pm on Thursday.

-Free Admission
-2 Industrial outdoor grills making food
-Premium adult beverages available
-Drinking games
-They will have cabs for a flat rate to/from the venue

It seems being discrete will be key and tailgating will be okay like most past VA shows. Hearing what I'm hearing, we're coming fully loaded from Roanoke and we'll see ya Thursday!
I do think there's still reason to worry about Bristow though.

I just got our decorations and tent out of storage! I can't wait for Thurs.! I'm hoping we'll all have a great afternoon and show, especially since it looks like Bristow's going to be a bust. I think we're going to meet up close to the venue around 2:30 and hope we can get in a little early.

The word at VIP was 4pm, but that's what Alpine Valley always says until they open way earlier. We're at the Awful's mentioned above and they're just setting up now.
