Yeah, it seems like they want to push the traffic from the south to use the feeder road that exits to the right just north of 71st and curves beneath Harlem, instead of letting them turn left at 71st. Seems to me that that could create quite a bottleneck later in the afternoon when more people arrive.
We usually come in from the North side and last year they wouldn't let us enter at the entrance on Harlem and were making everyone enter through 71st Street. Was a complete cluster, even the people that came from the south were forced to use the feeder to circle underneath Harlem then exit back out on the southbound side and turn at 71st Street.
Just want to make sure the caravan winds up in the East Lot as that is where others will expect us, and where the Parrot Dice Lounge is.

Do they typically check for tickets on the way in? I was planning on picking some up in the lot like I normally do. If they usually check, I might need to borrow one from a car with more than one person in it to get in the lot.

Website says they do, but they never have checked.

I'm going to try and find two together since I'm bringing a virgin with me, but if you still have it Saturday morning, I might borrow it long enough to secure entrance to the lot on the off chance they're checking. GW introduced me to this ticket checking phenomenon. I've been spoiled to Tampa the last few years where you just tell them you're there for the show and they wave you in.

Hmm...music. I have an iPod chock full of stuff, but no way to play it. Normally I've used my car stereo and blasted it out of the speakers, but when my car (and its tapedeck) were crushed I never bothered to get a broadcast transmitter for my replacement car (which has no tapedeck). Ideas, wing it? Maybe I should just get a transmitter. I do miss my iPod in the car.

On the FB page someone said they called Toyota and they said you don't need to buy the $60 ticket to tailgate, did anyone else call to see? I just did, but they are closed.

I'm assuming that you mean that if you don't get premium parking you cannot tailgate... actually, the size of the spot is roughly equivalent to about a 12 by 12(?) foot space behind each pair of cars (not really a LOT of room...) and very difficult to manuver around...

Dave is right--everyone can tailgate, but the space is very limited, which is why they started making some large spaces available to those willing to pay.
On another note, I think we have 1 extra ticket for tomorrow's Cubs game if anyone is interested.
