But really, how much room does a set of handcuffs, a whip & a nightstick take up?txaggirl91 wrote:Matt - don't forget to bring my stuff to JB. Thanks for letting me put it in your car!
Martyritaville wrote:Good news! I just got a text from some local Parrot Heads that Rum Jumbie is now available here in Buffalo! That means, since it's all New York State Liquor Authority, that there should be some available at a liqour store around the venue!
I know I put my rain jacket, the spoon thing Chef gave me to paddle people with and a really cool necklace in the back of the car. I have no idea what else ended up in there. (parts of the end of the tailgate were a little hazy. Imagine that!)Martyritaville wrote:But really, how much room does a set of handcuffs, a whip & a nightstick take up?txaggirl91 wrote:Matt - don't forget to bring my stuff to JB. ahahah... here's all you need to know - meet us at dawn. Bring booze.
The beach normally opens at sunrise so as long as the lot's open they can't stop you from coming in. They don't tell you where to park, you can go wherever you want and if you're the first one in you can save spots around you for late arrivals. There's a toll booth on the approach to the beach whether you take the Meadowbrook Parkway or the Wantagh Parkway but there's no toll, that's where you pay the parking fee - $8.00. Last year (and I think 2009 also but I don't remember) there were cuts to the state park budget so the parking field by the theater closed for the season at the end of July and was only open on concert days after that. I haven't heard anything like that for this year but if they do it again that means the lot probably won't open until 10:00, like it did last year. It's a state park so it's supposed to be alcohol free but I've never seen the state park police give anybody a hard time unless they were acting like d-bags. Pour all drinks in a blue cup and you'll be fine.blackjacks wife wrote:With Camden over its time to start planning JB. It's a new venue for us so please let us know the basics ...thanks
