Being that it's a State Park, how strict are they with alcohol on the actual beach (not the lots)? Is it ok as long as it's in a cup or is that even frowned upon? Anybody have any experience?

Someone else told me about the statue also -but I don't have one -does that make me a bad catholic

Hopefully there won't be any severe thunderstorms like that one at the Indiana State Fair that collapsed the stage and lighting trusses and killed five. Maybe all the storms will be gone by show time, the air will cool down enough. Show at Comcast Center/Great Woods in the rain several years ago sucked. I got soaked and had to go to a C store in RI on the way home to get a beach towel (they didn't want to let me in) to dry off somewhat.
Got a new inverter for the car to run the frozen concoction maker/blender and a load of fresh homemade key lime margarita mix! Can't wait to have some drinks and shrimp on the tailgate at Jones Beach!

The state park police will come around about an hour and a half after show time and start chasing everybody out so I can say with confidence they won't allow a camper overnight..sorry, how great would that be.
