Dates posted on Margaritaville
It hard to go see it in black and white on margaritaville.com
http://www.margaritaville.com/tour.html
All the dates are posted and there is no Thursday date for the Comcast Center (Boston).
Why is Comcast the only June date? Do we think there is a stadium or Fenway show on the future?

Re: Dates posted on Margaritaville
I'm sure a cluster of about 4 or 5 shows will be added around June 18.
I would bet the same for late August/early September..
The three shows in July may get some company too

Highly unlikely there will be a Buffett Fenway show in 2011. New Kids on the Block with the Backstreet Boys opening for them are playing there June 11th, June 12th was reserved for a second show if needed. The Boston newspapers reported those were the only two-dates the Red Sox applied for concert permits.
It is pretty obvious there will be shows added before and/or after the Great Woods date. The question is what other venues does he add. Logistically they would need to be in the upper north east/midwest part of the country. Chicago, Detroit, Cincy, Cleveland and Jones beach already have other dates set. That leaves places like Alpine Valley, Toronto, Mohegan Sun, MSG, AC or maybe the old Meadows in Conn. seeing he is playing a handful of places this year he has not been to in a while maybe a return to Hartford is in the mix.

I can pretty much gaurentee you won't see Jimmy play at the Meadows. They left a bad taste in his mouth the last time he played there (1993???)

he'll never play the Meadows again...had problems there a few years back.....my guess he may fill a couple of dates , but i'm gussing he goes full steam in April and May....takes part of June , does a few shows , then takes more time off before starting up in July....he usually takes a month off a couple of times a year.....plus he does have a place on Nantucket.....Mohegan , MSG they won't do those till the fall months...................could do AC and Toronto in JuneBottleofRum wrote:Steele1161 wrote:It hard to go see it in black and white on margaritaville.com

Didn't he do MSG last June? Or June 2008?

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Whats the thought on Camden? I was thinking the thursday before Great Woods but the CRB are playing friday night in MA so that wouldn't be realistic. Tuesday before Great Woods? August? He has to be doing more than one show in June.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

Camden's a $h!thole so I don't care but if you look at the beginning of the tour, it's set up Sat-Tues-Thurs-Sat then a week or 2 weeks off. Since GW is the only date so far in June and it's a Saturday show it would be a pretty good bet there will be shows either Sat-Tues-Thurs before GW or Tues-Thurs-Sat of the next week. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pittsburgh in there.drunkpirate66 wrote:Whats the thought on Camden? It really is. Not sure how any town or city in the United States can become a crime/murder/ trash ridden dump . . . if I lived there and paid taxes I would move. Even Mattapan, MA isn't nearly as bad and that is saying ALOT. With Jones Beach and the pending Pittsburgh I will probably concentrate my tailgating efforts there. The Pittsburgh venue is a fantastic place to see Jimmy. It is also a fun road trip from New England.

Pittsburgh is a really nice venue, I've been there 4 or 5 times. I had my first motorboatin' experience there.

Forgot about Pittsburg....and i don't think if playing somewhere the Thursday before would effect the Sandbar show....they fly now a days.....no tour buses!!!LIPH wrote:Camden's a $h!thole so I don't care but if you look at the beginning of the tour, it's set up Sat-Tues-Thurs-Sat then a week or 2 weeks off.
