Two years ago when he played in May, it was pretty warm for the street party, although LMS the night before at the Flamingo pool was comfortable.
October would be my choice, although like Paige said earlier, last year it was defintely hot.
On a different note, watching the Margarillas behind the scenes from Raleigh, one of them said something like, "another show down, 28 more to go."
So...take away Charlotte and WPB which have been played since then and if you don't count the NMoNA show this Thursday, or the Paris show, I figure that leaves six more dates that have yet to be announced, which you think would all be on the west coast.
Out of those potential six, does Vegas get two or one?
I know, I know, I'm way off in the weeds...one or two doesn't matter, just as long as the date(s) is/are October!!!

Probably 2 with Irvine/SD in between, then SF and the NW will get the shaft.


I wonder how that boat he is having built in the NW is going, remember the one that would get him in the area more often?

If the Atlantic City rumors are true, I would say August is definitely out and that would also mean the "Gang of Six" would be down to a "Fab Five."
Even worse, two shows in AC would mean we're left to figure out the FINAL FOUR, or LV + 2 or 3. Now I've gone past the weeds and am deep in the woods...

We wuz there a few years ago for a Halloween concert and it was crazy! The same weekend had NHRA Western Nationals, The Professional Bull Riders' Championships, Parrotheads, and the "usual" Las Vegas crowd . . . . What a show!
Looking at their calendars, the NHRA and PBR championships are both there that same weekend this year too . . . must be an annual thing.

Are these dates by a reliable source or are these dates that were just plucked out of a goose, golden or not? Can we start to plan on these dates, or should we just continue the wait and see action as has been the case? October 15 & 22 sounds about right, but I don't see anything signed and sealed online anywhere....

Two Vegas dates? This would not leave much for the rest of the West venues. Currently, he has been doing about four dates and then taking time off. Since the left coast is so geographically isolated, perhaps he'd expand his work week by several days and maybe do 5 or six shows. Fun to speculate. Just hope he hits Hawaii sometime in January/February.

Look at the last six years and you'll see he's played Vegas at least twice four of those years, including three shows in 2005. Granted, he's only played once each of the last two years, but, if any city should have two shows this year, it probably would be Vegas. Personally, I think the economy is having as much to do with how many shows he's doing and where he's doing them. Kansas City for the first time in 14 years, Virginia Beach for the first time in 11? That's a bit of a departure from the norm.
