One last set of reminders deal with the road construction around the venue. See you Saturday and enjoy the show!
Road construction is underway on I-43 (Rock Freeway) and CTH D near the Alpine Valley Music Theater. This construction will impact those traveling to and from the Jimmy Buffett Concert on June 25th. Some portions of I-43 are down to one lane and the speed limit is reduced to 55mph in those areas. Speed limits are strictly enforced by law enforcement.
CTH D is closed if you are coming from the WEST. This will not affect those attendees who are using Hwy D from the EAST. Delays are expected with this show due to the construction delays and the amount of persons attending the concert (estimate of 35,000).
Recommended alternate routes include Hwy 120 and Hwy 11.
Please allow yourself extra time to get to the performance, and be patient with other drivers around you after the show ends. Law enforcement will guide you in both ingress/egress from the venue. Please follow their instructions and routes.

Thanks for all your info and support for us over the years.
I think it was 2006 or 2007, you came over to where our group was and introduced yourself to me.
We only talked for a few minutes (other than on line), and I really enjoyed chatting with you. I'll make every effort to find you again this year and say hi. It's always good to hear from you and be the recipients of your positive attitude. There aren't many like you, and I, for one, really appreciate you being there.
Looking forward to hopefully seeing you on Saturday.
Thanks! I will definitely try to find folks and stop by this Saturday! SUVs are considered the same as cars, so no oversize vehicle fees.

As I'm sure MANY Alpine Valley attendees come from the west on I-43 and get off on D, are there detour/alternate route signs to Alpine posted? 120 isn't real obvious to those not familiar with the area.

Last night at Margaritaville serves as a pertinent reminder...
FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS DRINK TEQUILA!!
(I wonder if I can get banned from BN and Buffett for saying that?

)
Do I have to look up directions for us based on Brian's update, or were you planning on it? Or do you have GPS?

I was wondering if anyone can help me out...
Long story short is I didn't think I was going to be able to make the concert this year. Just got the weekend off and snagged 4 tickets off of stubhub.
Now I need to figure out where me and my 3 friends are going to stay.
Ideas? We will need either a shutle or a cab to/from wherever we go. Anyone know of any shuttles running from a little farther out than east troy? We can either camp or do the hotel thing.
Thanks for any help!

See everyone very soon and hope to stop by and introduce myself to those I haven't met before. Also, if you haven't already done some, simply send a blank e-mail to
showinfo@alpinestaff.com for a list of FAQs including times, what is permitted in the theatre, construction information, etc. Enjoy!

Old phriends:
I've avoided too much posting here because my cousins really want to keep our party smaller this year. For anyone else with a small tailgate party, however, if you'd like to park near us....meet us at the square in East Troy at noon, and we'll do our usual caravan over from there!
