For some strange reason I woke up this morning thinking about "West Coast Dates" and the "Bulb" went off.... I think this was mentioned before, but it just sank in my head...... Maybe the contractual agreements for Vegas state that until the dates are sold out or so many advanced tickets are sold for his Vegas gig, that no West Coast Dates can be announced..... Or, until at least a particular date is reached that is stated in the agreement... Makes sense to me that Vegas is in control of this one..... Why go to Vegas if San Diego or other places in California or anywhere on the West Coast is happening? If no other dates are announced, Parrotheads and future Parrotheads make reservations, buy tickets, and plan trips to Vegas... Duh, Hello, (hit the head) [smilie=asa.gif] ....... It's making some kind of sense.... Because it makes no sense at all to completely ignore Great Venue's and Fans on the West Coast other than this explanation.... [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

Vegas tickets are still plentiful. No problem, any quantity any price range. Vegas is always fun, but been there, done that a number of times. I'll wait for the Bay Area. If he comes, great, if not, so be it.

That's what the problem is with any "West Coast Dates" being announced..... Too many Vegas tickets still available...

Speaking as some one from Colorado who rarely gets to see JB in his home state, I think asking people to buy more tickets to the most expensive show of the tour is a bit self serving. If there is truely a contract clause that limits west coast dates due to the Vegas tickets sales here is a simple solution, lower the ticket prices. Read the paper, bad economy, less disposible income, seems fairly straight forward economics to me.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.........

One of the main reasons is: On JB's ticket matrix (scheduled cities for concerts), there are many on the west coast that he has not played in awhile. And this does not sit well with Live Nation, they want for sure sell outs. "Buffett phans know they would sell out in a heart beat, but apparently L.N. doesnt look at it this way." There were a few axed off the list already, in the Mid West because, they were to close to each other or he has not played there (IE Columbus, Oh was axed, because Cincy, Pitt and Cle are so close to Cbus. Well, the *easy* way to get a sell-out would be to cut the bloody ticket prices.

But that would make too much sense.

Come to Denver...that will sell out. Can't do the same thing over and over and expect the results to be the same everytime.

Shoot, play Red Rocks, charge $200 a seat, it will sell out in a minute.

I've totally given up on any West Coast Dates other than Vegas on the sand, (but where's the sea?) .... Not going to happen, and obviously a sad tour for a lot of us on the West Coast.... I've personally lost interest, and really have to motivate self to listen to the rest of the concerts......Jimmy really let the West Coast down, unless there's some last minute announcements... However, I won't hold my breath or anything else in hope.... Ain't going to happen this year for the WTF Tour.... Too late to make plans to travel or take time off for many.... However, can't take my "Boat Drinks Away" just can't enjoy them getting ready for a West Coast Show, but I'll enjoy them anyway "Sitting on the Dock of the Hay" in Boise ....

I'm sitting here on the rainy west coast, I don't think that I have seen the sun for the past two weeks (which coincidentaly were my two weeks of summer vacation) and now I am back at work :x ! If anything could raise my spirits right now, it would be news of October concert dates for California or the PNW - I'll take anything at this point, even unsubstantiated rumours - I mean Jimmy has to do something between the two Vegas dates, right?

Sorry to hear about the rainy west coast.....I'm in sunny and hot Boise, Idaho and I'd love to be in San Diego getting ready for a WTF Concert.... As far as Jimmy doing something between the two Vegas dates, having fun and R&R come to mind. I think if anything else was happening the dates would have been announced by now.... Just my take....and I'll take anything also, except Vegas.... Not going to do that kind of show, don't think it would be the same as the outdoor venue's.....

It is time for you guys to come to a conclusion. The West Coast is too spread out and it is tuff to make the almighty $$$ translating to slim amounts of shows. This has been building over the years now. I will not go to Vegas and be fleeced anymore. Nor will I travel mid week to see him somewhere in SD, SF Portland or LA. I have done that too many times in the past 20 years and now have responsibilities. It has run its course. I went to Alpine this year and had a blast, and most likely will not ever go to another concert again. 26 is my limit.

After awhile feeding off the crumbs get boring.

Sadly, I'm coming to the conclusion that we will likely not see Jimmy in Denver anytime soon. It sucks for us fans that Jimmy has become about promoting the Margaritaville franchise rather than being the figurehead of a lifestyle and doing his own thing. It became all about the money a while ago. It started to show in the music with songs about African safaris and flying airplanes rather than about things that regular people can relate to, enjoy, and find comfort in on bad days at work.

I thought it was turning around in recent years. But I'm starting to think that was just false hope.

I know what will bring Jimmy out west (besides Vegas). I am about to book a trip that Hubby and I were going to take to see Jimmy (besides in Vegas), but we've decided to say it and do something else.

Sure as sh!t when I book this trip, Jimmy will release some west coast dates.

That is what I figured would happen when I finally broke down and bought tickets to the Vegas show, but still no announcement. I guess my point is sometimes sh!t isn’t sure.

Last year, Verizon Wireless/Irvine had seats that were discounted down to the day of the show.
