Since someone has started requests for help, I have one. This is about Great Woods. Jimmy could you speak to the powers that be at this venue? Two years ago they stuck your most loyal fans, the clubs and website members, out in the grassy knoll where all the ticks are and there is only one Port-a-Potty for a huge area. This is the farthest lot from everywhere. We used to be in the paved lot up front by the venue. It was a great spot and everyone knew where to go for the most fun. Thanks

Hey Jim, there's a couple of concerts at Gillette Stadium this weekend. Why don't you come on up? They could probably find a spot on stage for you for a few songs.
You might know the words!

Reminds me of the places I've been.
Visions of good times that brought

Jimmy, if that really is you...

This Expatriated American living in France, originially from South Florida/Boston, can't wait to see you in Paris. It is a dream come true (on my Bucket List).

I was raised on your music and it has gotten me through a lot of rough times. Looking forward to "being home" for a few hours on Sept 26th.

Any plans for a pre-show?

Well Jimmy! Looks like the season is winding down. And it has been memorable! Great setlists with a good mix of the old and the new, mishaps (electrical outages) and mayhem (lightning storms), changes in the tailgate and who knows ????? :o :o :o :D :D :D I hope you get a chance to catch your breath before the Paris show and look forward to a great, intimate show!! We'll be tossing out beads again to the crowd (I think I have a couple of T shirts as well...) so if we're taking too long, just let us know! :D :D Got a gift or 2 for you with thanks for all the years and letting us tag along on some of your adventures (albeit vicariously....!). Also looking forward to the 2nd Vegas weekend and the final show of the tour!!! We'll have the Bering Sea Banner again! :D :D :D 8) 8) 8)

I know one way we could find out for certain... I met someone at a party 10 days ago who know Jimmy personally and showed my pics on his Blackberry that Jimmy had sent him. If "Jim Buffett" would reply telling us what one of the recent pics was of, that would be proof positive. This friend was the legendary Quint Davis.

Now if we could only get "Jim Buffett" to reply to this thread!!!

Looking forward to the Paris show, can't wait!!! Hoping to get a chance to meet the real deal up close and personal.

I'm reminded of the 1970s film Oh, God!
when God (George Burns) appears to an assistant grocery manager (John Denver).

A group of religious leaders challenge him to answer a series of written questions in Aramaic
while locked in a hotel room alone to prove God is directly contacting him.

Sample question: "Did Man fall from grace in the Garden of Eden?"
God's response: "I'll tell you something never came out. I made Adam 17. Eve was 15, 16 tops.
I figured then 16, 17 was middle age, you know. Who knew people would live so long?
Trees I figured had the best chance. Now I realize that they were kids, babies.
Young people can't fall from my grace. They're my best things. Write that down."

I LOVED George Burns in that movie. IMHO I think even God was happy with that casting. Although Morgan Freeman did a good job in Bruce Almighty as well

Dear Jimmy,

What is it that you have against playing Nautical Wheelers in the DC area? Is it me? Was I too overbearing a couple years ago with my extensive campaign? I can back off. Really, I don't mind. I started thinking that if you played it because of me, then everybody here would also start demanding songs and then it's ruined for everyone. Nontheless, I had high hopes that you'd throw a proverbial bone to a pathetic soul.

Hey, I'll bargain with you. How about next year, instead of ALL of the wheelers, I just get one. One Wheeler.

Nautical Wheeler, who calls himself sailor, plays fiddle tunes under the stars.

Just one. That's all I'm asking for for next year. Can I at least get that? Please? The others here at BN are starting to laugh at me.

Thanks,

FH9

Hey Jimmy. Just wanted to thank you and your crew for another year of fun. Just thought I would share with you a little story about after the 2nd Vegas show....
My buddy Steve and I and our wives were walking back through the MGM toward the Monorail after having been at a fellow BN'ers after the show get together in his room. Steve and I were walking ahead of the gals and talking about the evening, we had had a good evening and were sharing stories of the day when our wives (from several paces behind us) called out for us to stop. We stopped and turned to see what was up and there was a gentlemen with them that had been trying catch up to us after had spotted us walking down the food aisle ...... he then explained that he was part of the crew and that seeing us all dressed up he just wanted to thank us for the effort that we had put in to be in the spirit of things (Steve is a former Police Officer and a big fit guy...dressed in a coconut bra and grass skirt, Me in my pirate captain's outfit ). He explained that for him and the crew it was always great to see people getting into the spirit of the shows and joining in the "Show". We all shook hands and talked a bit and , as was clear by the sub sandwich and bottle of wine in his hands, it was time for him to go and relax, we parted ways. All 4 of us were most impressed that he took the time and effort to thank us....wow..... kinda blown away by that...... Kudos to you and your crew!!! [smilie=gt-happyup.gif] [smilie=gt-happyup.gif]
