That taught me never to buy a steak in fish country, nothing better than a Montana beef or bison steak. It was way over priced. The after deck is really fun, but I can get just as good of a view from the pier at the Casa.

Many years ago I flew to Dallas from Maryland with one of my reporting people.
He is Indian but does eat beef from time to time.

Several of us went out to a restuarant (Cool River) in Irving and we all ordered ginormous steaks marinated in Shiner Bock
with loaded baked potatoes the size of a football.

He ordered crab cakes. Flew all the way from Maryland and ordered crab cakes in a Texas steak house.

He had what looked like a child size plate with two dinky little crab cakes and some cole slaw while we all had these huge
steak platters.

Every time I see him I remind him of this.

Louie's is great for a beer and the view. I think in 6 years I've eaten there 3 times. Everytime, it was overpriced food and service with a sh*tty attitude.

Grab a beer or two in the afternoon and take in the view. Avoid eating there.

Sounds like even the locals agree that Louie's isn't what it used to be........

We've eaten dinner (once lunch) at Louie's at least 8 times for the past 6 years we've been to MOTM or just visiting KW. The food has been great every time and the only person that looked like she needed some surgery (to remove the stick from up her a$$) was the gal that seated us last year. We ignored her and had a blast. As a group of 8, we tended to go through a fair amount of wine with dinner. The wait staff seemed fine with us hanging out at the table for about 2+ hours. We tipped them well.

The rest of the time in KW, we're going to BH, El Siboney, BOs, etc. or drinking. One expensive meal is OK with us as long as it's worth it. 8)
