That was pretty bad, wasn't it?
Yep...........the other webcam that was up was awesome. 360 views of the harbor and water but I only saw it for a minute last night. It's not up today.......hope it will be back up today. I gotta get me some views of that!!! :D
Yeah I like the harborhttp://www.solutech.net/vsb/index1high.html cam myself.
all I see is the stage cam, where is the other cam?
On the right hand side there are 3 choices, click on the middle one to open the harbor view.

No worries! :D

The camera is actually set up on the side of the harbor where Jimmy's house is so you're basically seeing his view I believe.

Is that Gustavia Harbour or is that the main harbour?

As the camera pans around to the right, I'm guessing that is the Gustavia Harbor Lighthouse up in the hills in the middle???

I've only been there once but I'm assuming that since the town in the pictures is Gustavia then that's the Gustavia Harbor - although the commercial ships - like the ones who bring food etc don't come into that harbor, they are in an industrial area around the "corner"

I didn't know what harbor that was while watching the harbor cam...I was thinking they were showing the boats at Gustavia Harbor. Is that what you see on the video cam in that link above?

Since I've never been there and am not familiar with all the sights/sites, I wasn't sure what I was seeing, but assumed since you said the video camera was setup from where Jimmy lives, that it was Gustavia.

I don't know but if MacPhin sees this she will - she has been there many many times and has a really good knowledge of the island. I was so amped up about seeing Jimmy the one time I was there I don't think I learned anything!
Maybe on my trip next month!! No JB for distraction!

Tiny - 21km which I THINK translates into about 13-14 miles long - I had to look it up - I told you, I learned NOTHING!! :D

You didn't go to learn anything. You went to see Jimmy and the Coral Reefers. :D

One of the great things was re-reading the St Barth part of "A Pirate Looks at 50" and being able to picture what he was talking about.

It was such a beautiful view watching the video camera and you could see so many things along the harbor. Hoping one day to be able to see it all for real...virtually was good tho!
