Ticket sales etiquette
For the first time in a long time the local Buffett show has not sold out of lawn seats. I was on another site where people were posting that they were going to the show and someone posted that they had a single lawn for sale and wanted just a few dollars more than face value. Another poster asked if the ticket was still available. What's proper etiquette? Do you let it go, buyer beware and that sort of thing? Or do you let them know that tickets are still available from Livenation at face value and potentially bust the deal?

Re: Ticket sales etiquette
If people are too lazy to check Ticket Master or Live Nation to see if tickets are available, I don't think it's my job to check for them.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Re: Ticket sales etiquette
It's entirely up to you. If you feel like doing a nice thing, you could let them know about the face value tickets that are still available, paying it forward and all that. If you don't, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.spucketts wrote:For the first time in a long time the local Buffett show has not sold out of lawn seats. Re: Ticket sales etiquette
Your response seems a bit callous. Spucketts didn't go searching after seeing the ticket request, but already had the knowledge of the available seating. Many times TM "sells out" immediately only to have tickets show up well after the 10:00 release (see Jones Beach thread). So if I knew there were tickets available I would let that person know with a PM so as not to be the target of an angry scalper.LIPH wrote:If people are too lazy to check Ticket Master or Live Nation to see if tickets are available, I don't think it's my job to check for them.
I would think that many parrotheads would look out for each other. But, hey, that's what I think being a parrothead is all about.
