Has anyone had redirect issues, where you perform a search and click on the link and you go to some other site? If so, what did you do to fix it?

First up, this could be caused by a few things which may be local or maybe ISP related.

So some things to think about:
Is your antivirus up to date? No? Update it and scan the box (Yes even on a Mac - they are just as susceptible*)

Done that? Ok

Go to malwarebytes.org and download the free scanner.
Run that and see what it tells you. Don't panic. It WILL find stuff.
Work your way through the list, things like tracking cookies and the like are not big threats but look into them and learn.

OK did that fix it?

If it did, good.

If not it may be a (usually) temporary glitch in the ISP routing tables / DNS. Give 'em a call or look at their support page.

Hope it helps

* Please Apple Fanboi's don't turn this into a Mac vs PC s&*tfight. I have worked with both over the years and both have good and bad bits, they are what they are. The comment was not meant as a slight against anyone's favourite megabrand, it is just a statement of fact.

Ditto! But I would also boot your computer in safe mode and run malwarebytes then. Had a boatload of issues with a computer, and booting the computer normally did catch some things. But the problem wasn't completely solved until I was in safe mode. And yes, the reason I knew there was an issue was because Firefox was acting weird.
