I also started receiving RS mag and called customer service and she explained that it was a free subscription with NO automatic renewal attached to it. She also offered to cancel it for me but since you rarely get anything for free these days I decided to keep it. Now lets hope they are honest about the fact that they will not renew it but even if they do I will contact my CC and have it removed.

That just goes to show how sanitized most media has become. When I was growing up, you actually saw the carnage from the Vietnam war on the nightly news, that doesn't happen with war reporting on most mainstream media outlets in 2011.

I was some what surprised to see in the newest issue Jake Shimbukuro mentioned. Hes the BEST UKUKELE HERO. I thought that was cool even though they dont mention him playing with Jimmy.

I already have a subscription (or I subscribed for DH), does this mean that they added this free subscription on to the existing subscription? I haven't been getting duplicate RS mags. That would be nice since we were due to expire pretty soon.
Guess I should go check the mailing label.

So what you are saying is that you get it for the "articles" not the "pictures". Hmm, that seems familiar.......

Yeah, even when they put Keith Richards on the cover. Or
especially when they put Keith on the cover...

Would it be legal for them to do one of these "get it free then we continue to send it but charge you" things when you did nothing active to cause it to be delivered in the first place? It says that free copies of RS will be included with your order and you don't have to check a box for it to be included. (Now they are including Entertainment Weekly)
