I'm a Ford gal...
Bought my 99 F150 for my "happy divorce, happy 30th and happy masters graduation gift" to myself. 11 years later and 188K miles, it is time to turn Big Red in for a newer car. In the last month, I had to put in some major money fixing the front and rear ends.
I thought I was going to get a Escape Hybrid. I drove an Escape when the truck was in the shop and it doesn't have the leg room that I need. I don't like the look of the new Explorers.
I'm looking at the Ford Edge. The call it a crossover. I am going to try to rent one for a weekend and see how I like it. Just waiting for Ford to start running some good deals on their cars.

I loved my Escape....it just became bitter and hateful because I bought it with my ex....hence the lime green fiesta....about as polar opposite as you can get!

I'm pretty sure that we'll check out both Honda and Ford offerings. Not sure if we'll go totally new, either, and we have a good pre-owned lot through our credit union to check out.
Things aren't looking so hot for my 'lil Cavalier. It's been a good car for us and it will be missed. I think it has a future as a trade-in or as a tax deductable donation to Autos for Autism. It's been a good little car--just can't keep it cool to drive more than a few miles.

We're leaning toward a new Scion xB or a late-model, used/certified Honda Accord. We've kind of slacked on everything because the end of the school year gets very busy for us and haven't had more than two seconds to go car shopping.
We'll probably be purchasing some time next week. Gonna drive the Fusion before we make our final decision.

I have the Mercury version of the Fusion and love it.

I never thought I'd say this, but: I love my Nissan Altima. We're Chevy people. But my Nissan drives so good, has heated seats (wonderful in the winter), sun roof, XM/Sirius radio, cd player, all the extras and gets pretty good gas mileage. But this is still my favorite vehicle that we have (it's in the Buffett "Floridays" video and has been to many concert tailgates) :

I hear a lot of women do that as they get older.

We went with a 2008 Honda Accord V6 EX-L. I love it. About 24k miles.
