Maybe we could get a Ustream video simulcast from Nissan to the screens at Merriweather where we could party on the lawn and all get sloppy. Anyone know how much would IMP charge to rent that venue for a lawn party?? They'd probably charge us for parking knowing our luck.

From what I read on the article, the information was available on their website in February, tickets didn't go on sale until March or April. So I think you had prior knowledge.

ever since the place opened. The same is true for many venues. Signs everywhere.

They've had it for years ever since I first registered to buy a ticket online many moons ago.
They send me emails about upcoming concerts and whatnot at least once a week.

True but they can retort, you do have access to the internet right? You should go to the web site for changes in policy before you purchase your ticket, if you don't agree with it, then don't purchase it.

The majority of Buffett concert goers dont read the internet or attend other shows. There will be a giant cluster $%# when that show comes around and people go insane on the "cops" trying to stop them from tailgating.

I really think if they dont repeal this policy that Jimmy will never be back there.

They may not read the internet but all they have to do is read their tickets. People here on BN who were planning on going to the JLL show have said "NO TAILGATING" was printed on the tickets. Anybody who goes to the show knows the deal.

All due respect, how many people actually read their tickets. Maybe while they're waiting in traffic to get into the show, out of boredom, but I don't think many people actually look at them other than to see what their seats are.

I read my tickets as soon as I received them,
which of course was AFTER I paid for them,
and which was the FIRST TIME the NO TAILGATING
change in policy enforcement was disclosed to me.

Had that been disclosed prior to my purchase,
their likely would have been NO ticket purchase.

I dont visit my venues website. I dont know about the rest of you. Also I did not purchase my tickets for this event online where by some chance I would have read that. I purchased my tickets at a ticket b@stard retail outlet. They did not say anything to be about this being enforced or even being printed on the tickets at the time of purchase. I had never looked at my tickets until I became aware of this throught this website.

They're thinking about offering "The Jimmy Buffett Non-Experience" tickets next year for $50...

No tailgating AND NO entry to the concert venue!
You drive into the lot, don't stop your car, and immediately drive out.

good luck disputing credit card charges, anyone. Think about it. First: there are there time limits to do such things. Second, and most important: what reason are you going to give for disputing the charge? "I can't tailgate in the parking lot before the show and they won't let me in until right before the show starts?" Seriously.

Now IF you go and due to the parking "mess" you can't actually see the whole show, you MIGHT have a snowball's chance. But again, consider that there are filing deadlines for disputing charges. At that point, it will be months after you made your charge. Check you credit cards terms and conditions.
