Ok locals, if i am going to go from one end of VT to the other, need some help with microbrews. I have a semi map of where they are all located, but do you know how many either let you purchase growlers or 6 packs. I know Long Trail does, but are there others? Going to Stowe, the most direct route, 89. But plan on taking a more scenic route home. Probably going home down 7, then cut over on 4 to hit Long Trail.

I'd go north in Maine til you hit Rt 2 and then take that over thru NH. It will take you within 10 miles of Lyndonville, home of Trout River Brewing, which is one of my favorite beers. Then take Rt 2 over to Montpelier, jump on I-89 and take it over to Waterbury and stop at the brewpub there, the Alchemist, and then to Stowe where you can go to the Shed Brewery, or 10 miles to Morrisvile to Rock Art Brewery. 45 minutes from Stowe is Burlington, where I live, and within 10 miles of me there is Magic Hat, Switchback (best VT Beer IMO) as well as the VT Pub & Brewery that normally has a dozen different beers of their own on tap, as well as 3 Needs and American Flat Bread, which have their own brews on tap. I'd consider going home that way Sunday...go thru Burlington and check out the breweries I mention, and then stop at Otter Creek outside Middlebury on Rt 7. Then go to Long Trail on Rt 4 and then there are a few brew pubs in the White River Jct area that I've been meaning to check out, such as Jasper Murdock's Alehouse and the 7 Barrel Brewery Brewpub just across the border in West Lebanon NH.

Love me some Magic Hat and Otter Creek... but any good microbrew beer does the trick! I may have to stay over Sunday night and hit up some of these places! hehe...

I've been to all but Jasper Murdock's and Rock Art. If there is one not to miss, I'd say Magic Hat...they have a bar built in to their merchandise area and you can stand at the bar and drink samples of all the beers they are currently selling. Sometimes when Marilyn's car is on for service at the Volvo dealership nearby, we'll go in and drink free samples while we're waiting...you can also buy growlers.

Ok. I am officially a possible yes for this if I can work out travel to Stowe, Canada (It may as well be Canada to this Southern girl) from the airport and lodging. I am not opposed to stopping a breweries, especially ones that rhyme with Pagic Tat.
I knew this girl made of memories and phrases, who lived her whole life in both chapters and stages.
Danced 'til the dawn, wished all her worries away.

She's a long way from a West Nashville grand ballroom gown.
