TMZ is reporting that Jeff Conaway, famous for his roles in “Taxi” and “Grease,” passed away today.

Sail on Jeff, loved you in both shows. Watched you fight your demons with Dr Drew. You are now free of your pain and addiction.

I read the other day that he was already in the hospital in a coma and had been taking painkillers recently prescribed by a doctor. What kind of doctor does that when the patient already has addiction issues? I guess if you pay someone enough you can get them to give you anything.

Dr Drew said that Jeff's condition was inevitable because Jeff was a long time pill popper and "Jeff is another pharmaceutical death from the overutilization of prescription drugs. Please continue to pray for friends and family. They appreciate your support.”

Jeff was injured during the filming of Grease and that's what lead to his addiction and ultimately his death.

It's sad.

My memory may be failing me, but I could have sworn while he was on Rehab that he said he was dropped during a dance scene. I also read he fell off the car. I also believe it was a back injury.
