Landshark Ads

As I stumbled on to the T very earkt this morning I looked up and almost laughed out loud. The whole side of the car was covered in Landshark ads. What a hoot. Last week I saw an SUV of some type covered with ads as well but did not think fast enough to give the driver the "fin".

Had a Landshark hat on the other day and a non-Parrothead guy I know asked if I was going fishing. This was in the Midwest, so not like I would be setting out for a day of offshore shark fishing.

The person in the photo was totally oblivious to the fact that I was taking a picture. I don't think she was any more awake than I was.

Wasn't the use of "Landshark" in "Fins" originally inspired by the
SNL skits (which, were in turn, inspired by the popularity of
Jaws)? That's what I've always believed anyway. Especially considering the number of
SNL asides he made during the
You Had To Be There recordings.

Yeah, most people (non-Parrotheads) would wonder why a beer is named for a SNL skit character!
