Yes but usually it's February, last year I'm sure they were waiting to see his status after the stage dive.Left Field ParrotHead wrote:Just had a look in the 2011 GW thread.
The date wasn't confirmed until March 8 last year...
AAA rate for Comfort Inn is $108 but yeah, that's normal these days. Hmm, if I can do Residence Inn for the same I may switch, it's much nicer.lime rickie wrote:Comfort Inn and Residence Inn are showing around $120/night for the weekend of 6/22, that's pretty much the usual rate, isn't it?
Last year I got Comfort Inn for $89/night on Fathers Day weekend but I had booked it in January. I ended up giving the room away when we couldn't make it but once the show was announced I think it was around $159/night. So this current rate being shone indicates that JB isn't booked for 6/22, at least not yet.ScarletB wrote:AAA rate for Comfort Inn is $108 but yeah, that's normal these days. Since I won't be there long enough to use the pool that really doesn't make a difference but yes 99 is convenient for sure. IF there's another 2 day show then Res Inn is good because you have a place to keep drinks and stuff for 2 days. Although now that we have Chef Dave, that's even less of an issue. And I booked it before Rascal Flatts announced and I got it for $108 too.lime rickie wrote:Last year I got Comfort Inn for $89/night on Fathers Day weekend but I had booked it in January. The Rascal Flatts/father's day weekend 6/16 is showing $155/night.
As far as which to book, I like the Comfort Inn because the 99 Pub is right there. But the Residence Inn does have a pool.
Just a feeling but I think the years of two day shows in this market are done.ScarletB wrote:Since I won't be there long enough to use the pool that really doesn't make a difference but yes 99 is convenient for sure. Wow. How the mighty have fallen. If confirmed I guess there is some merit to a monday off for a long weekend for many of the Parrot Heads who travel far for Great Woods. I think I might punt this unless I can get lawn tickets for face value. It will be a fun time, of course - but hard to make a monday show legendary (which is my standard for Great Woods).gunthermoose wrote:For what its worth.... (no confirmations on either)
Found a web site that lists GW as
Jimmy Buffett Jun 18, 2012 | Monday
Also I'm told there will be no reefer show this year...(anywhere)
