Had a wonderful day yesterday with the Buffett Family. I may not have gotten to chat with everyone I wanted to, but still enjoyed seeing each and everyone one of you...I had a totally relaxing day, which is what I've needed because of the past 2 months. Well traditionally, a whoopie pie is a chocolate cake with the white filling. Now there are so many variations on the cakes and the fillings I never know what to expect.

Mitch, You definitely missed out on some good stuff. I also wanted to try the rum fingers or whatever they were called, just didn't have the time.

...my SALT SALT SALT kids were back again this year, this time behind me rather than in front. Jimmy did not "recognize" them like he did last year but we had a great reunion and I have been adopted! I get to be the EXCLAMATION point at the end!!!!!. This would definitely be the motivation to come back from IL to MA for the Great Woods show next year.

Aloha GW Tailgate Friends! I just want you to know how much Mike and I appreciate the warm welcome we got from you guys. It is not easy to walk into a party where you don't know a soul, but everyone was so friendly and encouraging! What a special group of people you are. Shout out to Dave and Barb for the superb food that just kept coming! WOW! And to Tam for the wonderful hospitality of her tiki bar, including the excellent entertainment of Mike Miller's singing and playing. Tam, tell Sarah that she is the bomb! Thanks Lori & Jeff for taking us under your wing! Nancy, it was great to compare notes on Holmdel and Middletown! Tommy Bahama you are the man! Linda and Bob it was great talking to you, and I LOVED hanging with MacKenzie! Can't forget the hugs from Ravi! Meredith, I am counting on seeing you in AC, girl, so we will be in touch to exchange cell #'s. Mike and Irene, so nice to spend time with you, Betsy, keep up with the lint inspections LOL. Darren, I will be your Tabitha! And can't forget Kelly, the Goddess of Jenga! (Also Dan, the master of ceremonies of Jenga ..) Friday night @ Red Roof was almost as fun as GW. So many names and faces, right now it's hazy, but THANKS to all for a great first time! And if anyone is going to Atlantic City or Jones Beach, holla at your girl, cuz we will be there!

We had a great time at the show...pretty hot day with a threat of some weather late in the day...a few sprinkles and some gusty winds for awhile, but we were spared. It turned into a lovely evening...cool and dry.

Linda & Kevin...what a nice surprise to see YOU both! You got me...I didn't have a clue! Made my day!

Duckett was a little wild with the ladies, I think. Lots of Buffett Virgins wandering around yesterday paying a LOT of attention to the duckster. That's all I will say.

Mike & Colleen...it was so great to meet you guys! Hope we can meet up again next year at GW!

Mike & Irene...it was so nice to hang with you guys and chat! Irene, it was great to finally meet you. Thanks too, for bringing the chocolate (yum!) and the beverages for us to try.

Dave...you outdid yourself again...and up this morning before the rest of us...you're the man! Thank you AND Barb for keeping us all well fed yesterday! Okay, you've got two new fans with the red pepper and goat cheese spread...delicious!

Looking forward to next year and spending a few more days with the phamily. Gotta be smarter with the vaca time!
