The weekend started with a totally uneventful drive. . . it only took us about 6 and a half hours to get there (as opposed to the 9 and a half last year). No traffic at all. Same with the trip home.
Pre-concert party at the Red Roof was a lot of fun. Got to hang out with some really great people for a few hours. The BN people were ok too.We surprised a few by being the "secret guests". . . (possibly disappointed others, but if so they didn't tell us
The tailgate. . . what can you say? Perfect weather, great food (thanks again to Dave at Gunther's Grill), great people, great show. So much fun to spend the day with all of you. We got to meet quite a few BN-ers we never met before and hang out with others who seem like they have been life-long friends. Special thanks to Tam, Chris, and Chef Dave for their hard work coordinating things. Thanks to Barb and Nancy for their waitressing (even though Nancy's service was a little slow and rude
I've picked on a few of you, but in all seriousness....the Great Woods Buffettnews Contingent is amazing! If anyone ever wonders if it's worth it to make the trip. . .IT IS! Do it! You will be welcomed and treated like family.
Only about 365 days give or take until we can do it all again!
