I agree. As long as he continues to perform, I'll be there..and the concert the other night! Fantastic! His response to our enthusiaam came right back to us! He loves to perform for Philly/NJ and we love him right back! I thought that the set list was super and the backgroud display of Philly (at night), Geno's steaks, etc added to the hometown feeling that he creates wherever he is performing....and also, he"s looking pretty good,!

At my age, (near Jimmy's age) I can say that it"s been a long time since I"ve followed a singer, songwriter, storyteller like JB, and its fun again to listen, laugh, cry a little and be a fan. When I listen to his music, I feel like a kid again!

I think that so much of what JB does is about connecting to the child in adults.

Hence these lyrics....

"Here we are, maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do
It's the child in us we really value "

Those lyrics are from my favorite Buffett video, "Here We Are." It's my favorite because it's a tribute to us, the fans, the Parrotheads.

The difference in his voice on those first two L.P.,s always amazes me He sounds sweet but a little over produced. When he hit Key West he went to his more natural more nasaly southern style.....yeah!

If anything, those Barnaby recordings sound woefully underproduced which is a huge part of their charm.

I think Jimmy will play another 10 years, not on the concert road, but at his own establishments, which are popping up everywhere. Something like $100.00 per person, two hours with Jimmy Buffett. Same concept he does now, maybe two nights at each spot with a downsized Reefer Band. Always hope with Jimmy, he loves it and we love him, both sides know it.

That's not out of the question.

I guess I didnt mean the recordings were over produced.Such as orchestra fill, wall of sound, saxaphones, etc I meant his singing style sounds a little coached or "correct" wheras now just sounds very natural and southern.
