I have three daughters. I have to admit that I was pretty rough on some of the boys that came by. Here's a funny story: I was in the back yard cooking on the grill. Someone knocked on the door of my wooden fence. It was a young man coming to pick up my daughter on a date. I told him that if he ever wants to pick up my daughter he will need to use the driveway and not the back yard fence.

A couple of minutes later, there is honking coming from the driveway. I was in shock. This youngster was in my driveway honking his car horn to pick up my daughter to take her out for a date. After a lesson in manners: I told him that if he ever wants to take my daughter out, he will certainly need to knock on the front door like a normal person. I sent this young man packing.

Of course my daughter was miffed at the time but is fully understanding now.

There are a ton of creeps out there and I was fully conscious of the stares from the pervs when my girls were growing up. I always kept a close eye on them and tried to keep the lines of communication open.

I also let them know at parties to never, never pick up a drink that they have put down if they lost sight of it for even a few seconds. They understood about people slipping stuff into drinks.

There is a lot of worring with girls but they sure are worth it. I'd give everything I have to do it all over again.

at the time did she look 13 or 21?
Mal, I can imagine how disconcerting this would be. I would be glaring at them and I'm sure you monitor Victoria's outfits for age appropriateness. (I saw the grounding post for the facebook-good for you!)

AF I know where you are coming from though. Last week we were at the Grand Canyon and there was a girl around 11 wearing a t shirt that said OMG WTF! Who would let their child out of the house wearing something like that????

Another one was wearing tights and a skin tight leopard printed top.
She would have been at home on the street of Vegas. I realize that what one wears shouldn't have anything to do with it....but I was wondering about these girls upbringing...so I imagine that a perv would be too.
