Boston - Places to Eat

Post by nycfeat »

I'll be in Boston for a 3 day weekend.

I've read the Must sees / do's in the Boston MA area? thread here. Any more suggestions for places to eat? I'm planning on going to the fine arts museum, ICA & Fenway (if that helps).

2 words: North End. One more word: Italian. Multiple more words: be open to the experience of finding where you want to eat by checking out menus in windows and aura of the neighborhood, but dining in the North end of Boston (if you like Italian and have the time--as in have dessert somewhere other than where you had dinner) is top ten easily, top five probably.
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.

Two places... No Name (in the harbor). Mike's Pastry in the North End.

We were just there the Sunday after the GW show and had never been before. We ate at the Union Oyster House -- the "Chowdah" and lobster roll were amazing. Enjoy!

Omni Parker House hotel...it's where Boston Cream Pie was invented.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

Though I would love to see the fireworks there, that desire doesn't over ride the hate I have for huge crowds.

EGGZACTLY!!!!!, Thus the reason I don't go near the place on holiday weekends...
And the fact that a fairly normal drive time would be about 15 - 20 minutes. I can't imagine the traffic after the fireworks and how long it would take me to get home. No Thank you.

Yup! I am a pretty calm driver, but get me in a traffic jam and I lose it!

I'd be all set if we were allowed to drive these.
