Thanks LIPH for posting this longish explanation. I do it the same way but was too lazy to post it until now. So when I reopened this thread I found your post. And now in the end I have used more letters then I needed would I have posted my way first.

I just go to the forum index which is in my favorites.
If it's been a while I usually work my way down starting with the "Jimmy Buffett Discussion" then "Parrothead Social Area" followed by "Related Artists" and then "Off Topic".
The latest posts are not necessarily the greatest posts.

Latest posts for me too.

I usually start with the Parrothead Social Area, then the Jimmy Buffett Discussion, and if I have time I quickly check Recipes and Boatdrinks. Of course, if it's late winter/early spring it's hot and heavy on the Tour Dates and Rumors!

Glad I read this. Never went to Latest Posts before!
Always just to Jimmy Buffet Discussion and then to Multimedia Photo Gallery to see if there are any new pictures of Jimmy!
Now I have other interesting things to read!

I don't open threads that don't interest me. If I'm not going to a certain show, I don't open those threads, etc.

Concerts I'm not attending, the single peoples thread etc. I find the most interesting discussions in the most unexpected places...

BN is bookmarked to latest posts.

If I'm looking for a thread I have commented in and it isn't on the first couple of pages, I use "view your posts".

Right with you, Nancy! That's how I wandered into the single peoples thread!

I've been going straight to Tour Dates and Rumors every time I've logged on for the past five months, hoping for some news of west coast dates - still jack squat!

Usually go to Jimmy Buffett Discusion or Parrothead Socai Area first. Then head off to the recipe thread, off topic area, who's going to etc. etc.

I do occasionally use the latest posts options. But usually take the scenic route!

There really isn't a bad way to visit the BN site!

Interesting.........I always use view new posts. I will have to try latest post. At first glance it does not seem to different.
