When I was a kid, my mom would butter saltine crackers as a snack for us. I still have a fondness for butter on saltines.....
I could eat my body weight in saltines and butter.....nutmeg wrote:When I was a kid, my mom would butter saltine crackers as a snack for us. I still have a fondness for butter on saltines.....

I used to use oleo, but when my ex moved out, I started buying butter again. I don't use it that much because I have a big enough ass as it is....but if I'm going to eat something, it going to be good....and I like butter....
My thoughts exactly!pbans wrote:I could eat my body weight in saltines and butter.....nutmeg wrote:When I was a kid, my mom would butter saltine crackers as a snack for us. I still have a fondness for butter on saltines.....

We're the opposite because butter doesn't contain soy, and that's something we have to go light on in our house.Hockey Mon wrote:I've got a dairy allergic kid so we use mostly margarine but they do make a butter flavor extract that you can add to cakes and such which does make it taste like you used butter.
I know. It's so god damn frustrating at times. The good thing is it's summer and we have no allergies to fruit. I just need to get my middle boy to actually LIKE that stuff. You are cool with fruit right? It's wheat/soy because of the celiac.buffettbride wrote:We're the opposite because butter doesn't contain soy, and that's something we have to go light on in our house.Hockey Mon wrote:I've got a dairy allergic kid so we use mostly margarine but they do make a butter flavor extract that you can add to cakes and such which does make it taste like you used butter.Fukkin allergies.
Yep. Unfortunately my kids have no real excuse to avoid fruits or vegetables.Hockey Mon wrote:I know. It's so god damn frustrating at times. Wow. that brought to mind a long-forgotten memory. When I was little, my mom used to spread butter on a piece of Wonder bread and then sprinkle some sugar on it. it was a "treat" -type snack. Not healthy as I look at it from an adult point of view, but boy was it good!nutmeg wrote:When I was a kid, my mom would butter saltine crackers as a snack for us. Wonderbread toast w/ margerine, cinnamon, and sugar...yummm. Reminds me of my mom! She is a toast fiend. Probably eats half a loaf a day in toast.dnw wrote:SMLCHNG wrote:Did both of those, too!!
