"game of the century"....yawn, wake me up when someone scores a touchdown. Had to laugh when the sponsored "play of the game" was a field goal...not many other choices. Although it should have been the goal line interception.

Dont agree much with Badgers but this is spot on. If this would have been a BiG Ten game, the espn lead media would be blasting it saying things like "ugly football, these teams couldnt play in the SEC" Just more proof about the bias in college football

and on a extremely sad note, whats going on at Penn State is horrible and that program needs to be shut down today. The players did nothing so they should be allowed to immediately transfer and play elsewhere.

I'm gonna disagree at this point. It was like a 0-0 baseball game or hockey game with outstanding pitching or goaltending. Now the jury is still OUT how much offensive firepower these teams have, but I do know Trent Richardson is a stud & LSU has some speed burner WR's. The problem was the triggermen (QB's) lacked the talent you'd like to see to be able to exploit any cracks in the D.
While I won't call it "one of greatest games ever" I was onboard with it being a very entertaining game & would have loved to witness it.

I agree. Hell, Notre Dame/Wake Forest was more entertaining. I kept switching back and forth.

Yeah, as a fan of a bad defensive team (alright, just plain bad  ), I was really appreciating the defensive effort on both sides. Receivers would catch a short pass and look to have room to run, but were immediately swarmed by the defense. Running lanes were closed before the back could hit the holes. Great team speed on both sides.

Well, I can't say much about Maryland's dismal game/season but I can say, way to go Northwestern! Maybe we can salvage the season...

The Penn State child abuse scandel just keeps getting worse.

JoePa needs to be fired and arrested. The AG has changed her story on Joepa three times and now its "JOepa is not a suspect...at this time"

He did the minimum required to stay legal, but if someone rolls on him and they can nail him with perjury than PSU is done forever

How could ANYONE at Penn State turn a blind eye to such sick allegations and happenings. I hope they find everyone involved and hang them from the highest tree in Happy Valley. Such shame.

Paterno should be immediately suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. I don't like the idea of allowing him to remain coaching the rest of the season and then gracefully retire once it's over.

Has anyone read the actual indictment? That predator used an organization for underprivileged kids to find his victims and the things he did RIGHT THERE IN THE FOOTBALL FACILITIES are so disturbing that I could not continue to read the entire indictment. The sick bastard should be hung from the highest tree in Un-Happy Valley........

I did read the whole indictment.........I wanted to puke.

The Penn State graduate assistant who witnessed the shower incident (who was deemed a credible witness) called Paterno late the night it happened and met with him the next morning. I can't believe this kid didn't tell Coach Paterno exactly what he saw the night before. Yes.....Sandusky needs to be prosecuted and I hope he has a 400 lb cellmate looking for a wife. But also everyone......and I mean everyone......who let this guy continue to abuse these poor kids, also get what's coming to them for turning their backs......including Coach Paterno.

if Tressel got fired for a few players signing and selling memorabilia....the Paterno has to be let go at PS for these allegations against one of his assistants...he had to know....and this is a lot worse then what the OSU players did in my mind!!

Bobby Bowden's forced retirement at FSU does not seem so bad right now.

The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that support for Paterno, and the university president is rapidly eroding, and that both could be out by week's end.

At first I thought they would let him finish the season, but then you have a bowl game several weeks later and they wouldn't let him hang on that long. As fast as this is moving, I think you may be right. Saturday is a long way off right now.

If all the accounts are correct I think it's fair to say Paterno could have done more follow up. Focus needs to be on the real crimminal. This is as much a head hunting exercise as anything. If Joe was a janitor and reported this to his boss and his boss did nothing no one would be looking for a new janitor.
