I didn't listen to the case, but it sounds like there were big holes in the case, and those, apparently were pretty clear to the jury.


Even if they "knew" she was guilty, they could not convict if they had reasonable doubt. For a jury that knows they are going to be dealing with the death penalty, things are taken pretty seriously, and the bar for reasonbable doubt is pretty high., as it should be.

But, if O.J. Simpson was found not guilty with the overwhelming evidence against him, there was no way they were going to find that piece of white trash guilty with evidence that was iffy at best. But, like it or not, under our system of laws, "REASONABLE" doubt is all it takes to let the thugs go free.
