If Miami gets death penalty, I would say a fair replacement for ACC would be the Dolphins. There's a drop-off in talent, but they'd compete.

a couple more years, yeah, the Dolphins might be up to ACC grade.

I doubt it...
I understand the Hurricanes Athletic Department has recruiting staff with time on their hands...

I don't like the new kickoff rule or the review every TD rule but oh well, football is back.
I've heard people speculate that the NFL is looking to get rid of kickoffs but the NFL denies it. I guess that would affect the end of games as well with no onside kicks. Probably will never happen but you never know.

Didn't hear why the NFL instituted the new kickoff rule, but why bother kicking now? Just start each game on the receiving teams 20-yeard line and save some clock.....

Bucs managed a couple decent returns last night. The rest of the game pretty much sukkked. Nice breeze up in the 300 section though.

Hoping the Redskins didn't get half their season's win total in the pre-season, knowing the luck of Napoleon, I think so.

Seriously having the best weekend. County fair, fried banana pudding, batting cages, putt putt, Irish pub and tomorrow...
I get to put on my Cowboys jersey and go watch a game. Hopefully, I'll be back tomorrow evening to talk a little smack.

Who thinks their team will knock my beloved SB XLV champion Green Bay Packers off the mountain top?

It's ok. The Cowboys are the Yankees of football in as much as everybody loves to hate them. I'm completely used to it now.
In actual football news, I would really love it if Miles Austin would quit injuring himself and aggravating the injury during practices.

Maybe, but these guys are pros. You can't tell me they weren't working out and raining during off season.

The Cowboys are the 1988 Red Sox of football in as much as they haven't done much since your dad was in college. I'm completely used to it now.

Romo and the Cowboys had some of the best off season workouts of any NFL team. That spells good news.
