Parents with Children

Post by ragtopW »

OK so hunting season is on it's way.. I have been taking little hikes
in order to "keep up" in Boise we have many hiking trails that are popular
with everyone from fat old men to familys
yesterday I was out for a nice little stroll and I caught up to a young family
Mom (about to be Mom again) Dad, and a .. 2 or 3 year old

Dad was in the lead and would take off. then He turns around and Screams at the kid..
"YOU need to keep up (Dad is jogging) PICK up the Pace" this is to a lil one..
and mommy is bring up the rear.. " Come, ON (name deleted) keep up with Daddy"
you need to Focus and work harder...
you will never get ahead if you slack

I almost dropped Dad. I had to leave and cut short my Hike because I was really
afraid I was gonna do something that would hurt the clown..

Really?? is this what it has come to?? pushing the Kids at that age??
my finest hope is that when this kig grows up He gets to pick the nursing home for Mom and Dad..

sick, sick people....

Yeah a toddler is a little too young.
Earlier in Target I told my kid I was gonna "knock him the F out if he did not calm down".
I said it a little too loud and a guy gave me a look. Of course I would never do it and at least I censored the F bomb since I was in public. My kid's lucky I'm not like my mom, breaking hair brushes over his head and what not.

being screamed at to keep up with a jogging adult... and being called a loser because
he cannot keep up

None of it! That poor kid, and for the one on the way for that matter.

It's all ok with me. I'm not one to stick my nose in other peoples business unless physical harm is being done. We already have an entire generation that was coddled and told they were winners even though they were fat, slow and stupid.

I can't believe anyone would condone emotional abuse of a child.

That's kind of sad.

You did just remind me to look for the video tape of my son (18 now but maybe 10 at the time) on a nice little hike at our hunting camp. He wanted to go and I was happy to take him. He was ready to turn around before we got off the property and onto state forrest land. I never yelled at him but I wasn't turning back either. He griped and moaned the entire way to the point that is was funny. I kept shooting some video as we made our way through the woods. At one point he sat down and wasn't going to move. After telling him that there could be rattlesnakes in the grass (and there could have been) he got up in a hurry. I know this is basically just a rambling story that has already disinterested most of you BUT it actually was a pretty fun day :D

This area is well know in PA so I happend to find a picture on Google.
