A little about me. I've played hockey for 50 years in beer leagues throughout this great country. I still play 2-3 times weekly in KC leagues, and assist with an adult learn to play program...

The most satisfying thing I have accomplished in my playing career is the formation of my charity, "Have A Skate With Bob" in memory of my first wife, who was taken from us in November, 1999.

We raise funds through benefit hockey games in Kansas City and Chicago, and have raised $20,000 for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in the 4 years we have been holding them.

We have some things in the works in honor of our friend, Tom Jacobson, who was taken from us a couple of weeks ago by this monster.

He is an inspiration to us all. Two years ago, after undergoing the Whipple procedure and while receiving chemo, he PLAYED in our first Chicago game.

As a goalie, I hate giving up goals, but somehow, the two he got by me didn't seem to matter quite so much as others.

We will be holding our "Chicago" game in conjunction with the Rockford Ice Hogs of the American Hockey League on Sat Dec 3rd at 2pm.

If you're in the area, come out and watch us play, then, watch the Hogs play the Abbotsford Heat that evening!

Thanks, we are going to defeat this opponent in my lifetime! I am hoping to have something in the KC area within the next week or so!
