Cuba

Post by Bfan53again »

I watched Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" from Cuba last night on The Travel Channel: http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Anthony_Bourdain

I do hope that the archaic travel ban for US citizens can be lifted and tourism allowed to resume in my lifetime. Cuba looks like a beautiful country with wonderful people. The cuisine and rum are pretty good, too! I'd love to try a bottle of Havana Club with a good cigar after dinner...... [smilie=coolup.gif]
On most days I say: "Wrinkles only go where the smiles have been...."
Sometimes I can only say: "There is no dumbass vaccine......"

If something or someone gets you down, just remember: "In a hundred years it all won’t matter.........."

It is possible to go there now - legally documented through the US govt. You can also go "undocumented" by booking the land package through a foreign travel agent and catching a flight out of a Cuba-friendly country. Once you arrive in Havana they will give you a tourist visa and an insert for your passport. Of course you need cash to get around. US credit cards will not process purchases.
Rub yours on me and I'll rub mine on you

Yes, you are correct.....there are ways for US citizens to travel to Cuba now. It just would be so nice to visit like any other Caribbean nation without any silly restrictions! :pirate:
