Miracle Whip v. Mayo

Given the very spirited debate we were having about goblin...er, um, Miracle Whip, here:

viewtopic.php?f=31&t=86692

I thought I would share this. Miracle Whip has set up a YouTube page and is calling for video submissions for a contest, "Not For Every Relationship". They've already posted several videos (that they've uploaded) from newlywed couples and others and I honestly can't pick a favorite right now. To quote one of the girls in one of the videos, "I think it conjures images of pain", but I have respect for a company with an inferior product who's willing to put up video of people talking about how craptastic their product is.

I have been a Miracle Whip girl my entire life, have had to keep mayo in the house  for my hubby. But I am now a cheater, having a torrid affair with Duke's mayo. That stuff....is real good!

Not sure how it is in other parts of the country but here in the Cackalack I know of some folks that are downright fervent about their love for this stuff:

Should this be a poll?
:P
Miracle Whip here. I grew up with it. We haven't had mayo in the house for years.

Miracle Whip ranks right up there with seafood, vegetables, frozen pizza, Justin Bieber CDs and flip flops. Who wants to be in the same zip code as any of that crap?

I'm from the South. My grandmother made her own mayonnaise (like Helen Corbitt said) ... we always had Hellman's ... or my grandmother's.

Most of the girls I grew up with use Hellman's. I guess it's what all our mothers used.

Mayo. One needs mayo in the house because if you ever have to make russian dressing for cornbeef sandwiches, you can't use MW. That would be wrong. Note that you wouldn't use just mayo on the cornbeef sandwich, you need to mix in horseradish and ketchup to make the russian dressing. Spicy Brown Mustard is a good alternative.

You live on an island and you don't like seafood?!?! [smilie=sillyjester.gif] [smilie=sillyjester.gif] [smilie=sillyjester.gif] [smilie=sillyjester.gif]

I like 'em both. Actually bought Miracle Whip instead of mayo last time at the grocery store because there's a fat free version and the store didn't have a fat free mayo.
