Hubby and I have some airline vouchers to blow and are looking at Seattle for a long weekend (4-5 days). What shouldn't we miss?
We are thinking a B&B instead of s hotel so suggestions there are good. A trip to Victoria BC is also not out of the question while we are there. Love me some Canuckie.
TIA

Re: Seattle
Pike Place Market of course, the place where they throw the fish. The original Starbucks is nearby, if you're into coffee (we're not). We found nice restaurants along Alaskan Way almost every night for dinner, lots of seafood obviously. Had a cool, damp weekend, but when the sun broke through we went up to the top of the Space Needle. Took a day trip to hike around Deception Pass State Park. That was our most fun day, we had good weather and it was fun walking over the bridge. Wanted to do a Boeing tour but we ran out of time.
We took a ferry to Victoria, but don't do that on a Sunday. We did, a lot was closed so we didn't see as much as we could have. I think the trip each was was 2.5 or 3 hours. It ended up being a full day that our group wished we had done something else, just because so much was closed.
We'd go again, but not in April. The cold weather we had really limited our outdoor activities.

Re: Seattle
There's a few of us up here.
What's good to do depends on what time of the year you're coming up and also what floats your boat!
If you're into boats, there are several water-based tours, if you're into planes there's the Museum of Flight and the Boeing 747 Factory Tour.
If you're into music, there's the Experience Music Project.
Sports? There might be a Seattle Mariner's game, or a Seattle Seahawk or UW Husky football game, or a Seattle Sounders soccer match.
Booze? More wineries amd microbreweries than you can possibly take in.
Lots of good info here . . . .

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but sometimes they have really good ideas....
