I GOT FRONT ROW!!!

Post by FunkHouse9 »

...tickets to see Lewis Black in MD. Not nearly as cool as front row at a Buffett concert, but I wanted seats and decided I'd get the best I could, so I hopped on when they went on sale and got lucky. In all honesty though, for a comedy show, back row would have been fine with me as long as I can sit down and see. At least I now know first hand that it's possible to buy front row tickets to SOMETHING through Ticketmaster. I've been in the front row for other stuff before, Rush, Spinal Tap, Metallica, to name a few, but I had to either win those or fight my way to the front.

Maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do, it's the child in us we really value.

I have a friend that insists upon going through ticket brokers for his concert tickets because he believes that he's going to have a better chance at scoring primo seats. Maybe so but while he's paying through the nose for them I have never supported ticket brokers and still manage to get pretty good seats for concerts most of the time. When Natalie Merchant played here last year I waited until the day of the concert, arrived early and scored a seat in the front row by buying my ticket at the box office.
