It's actually even more than a liquor store. It also has a nice little grocery section, with some unique food items, a big ol' coffee roaster, produce section, nice sized olive bar and a huge cheese section. And not to be left out...an awesome little deli in the back with tables up front, where I spent many a lunch hour (or more) since it was a decent little walk from the office. I've got some nice little memories from that place, for sure.

Might I recommend taking home a few bottles to savor until you can make it back over the equator again:
7 Leguas Anejo
Cabo Wabo Anejo
Cazadores Reposado
Hacienda de Chihuahua Anejo Sotol (agave liquor like tequila, just not distilled in Jalisco State)
Milagro Single-Barrel Reserve Anejo (save this for wakes/weddings/christenings)
Milagro Anejo
Sauza Tres Generaciones
Muchas gracias
Noted, printed and stowed amongst the travel docs....

I knew that, of course. I don't think people would expect me to talk about the unbeleivable food selection they
have, or the amazing cigars they have since I no longer smoke. That said, what yummy food items they have.
Think of a great Deli/ grocerette combined in a "party" store with cigars to boot. Now what I know best, or should I
say what I do best, booze. It's there in quantity be it beer, wine, or liquor. I thought I had fallen down
the "rabbit hole".

As most who know me are aware, I love rum.
We do keep a few bottles of other things around though.
The Milagro single barrel select is the best tequila i have ever tasted. The Reposado is my favorite, but the anejo is pretty amazing too!

From Tuesday:
"That is so smooth."; "It's good, it starts warm, and stays warm all the way down"; "where did you get that, I need to get some"; etc.
Toro de Lidia Anejo, for $26 plus shipping was appreciated by everyone who tried it. Even had a couple professionals (bartenders, not alcoholics) ask and take pictures of the label to see if they could find a source. While it isn't a heavy concentration of any one flavor, there are a lot of good notes in it, and it goes well with a mild to mild-medium Connecticut wrapper Dominican cigar.
Now I gotta get a bottle of the Extra Anejo, and see what difference 5 more years in the uncharred oak cask makes
and for the record: Flor de Cana 12 year old rum is darn good too.

This is still my favorite reposado, I have yet to find one that I like better. Although 7 Leguas comes pretty darn close.

I still have this 3 litre bottle, still unopened.

I wish I could remember the tequila we drank at my son's wedding. I know we had Patron for the rehearsal dinner...
