Former Warrant lead singer Jani Lane dies at 47 (with video)

Jani Lane, the former lead singer of the metal rock band Warrant, has died in Los Angeles. He was 47. Officer Sara Faden says Lane's body was found Thursday in a Woodland Hills hotel. She had no immediate information on the cause or circumstances of his death

Jani is my favorite frontman of the era, which means Warrant was my fave hair band of the 80s and early 90's. His song writing is so underrated, listen or read the lyrics of the 'unpopular' albums of the 90's. To say I am sad and disappointed is an understatement, especially since I thought he was getting his act together...working on new songs, possible new solo tour. I've met him and the guys many times up until 2003 and they were always very cool and personable.
Time to dig out and post some long hair rock n roll pics of me :)
On the corner of 'Walk' and 'Don't Walk' somewhere on US 1.
He's just singing and ordering drinks.
