What is wrong with Tiger Woods??? Not that i'm a fan of his??? never was because of his attitude , but respected how great he was.
watching him play the PGA this week and Bridgestone last weekend. This guy was the next coming of Jack Nicklaus and the wheels completely fell off. I know all the personel stuff and the knee injury. But , still with his talent , you would think he would be competitive.
another question......why would he even think of changing his swing???...why fix what really isn't broken and seemed to work all those years.
maybe it's lack of playing.....but this guy use to take weeks off , and come back and win.

It's in his head plus the gimpy legs aren't helping either. I'm kinda thinking that he was using steroids or some other illegal supplement to help him heal before and he is afraid that he might get tested now and is trying to heal naturally. His 'addictions' are probably on his mind too. I think he needs to pick up a foresome at the pancake house and get his mind cleared. I miss watching the amazing tiger woods play. His melt down now reminds me so much of the John Daly break down.

we were talking about the steroid thing last night...the only thing is his body hasn't changed much....HGH maybe...it does help you recover from injury fast....i look at Mcilroy , playing with that wrist....gotta give him credit ( loved the comment a player from the Tampa Bay Lightening made.....he must have some hockey player in him)......and playing ok...really didn't see Tiger favor the knee.....could be in the head.....thinking to much on the swing change....imagin Adam Scott going back to back with Stevie Williams on the bag!!!Skibo wrote:It's in his head plus the gimpy legs aren't helping either. Re: For the Golfers out there
I am no golf fan but the guru's at work were blathering on about this last week. I gather he had to alter his swing because it was contributing to his injuries, now, in a perfect strom of Murphyism, the injuries are stopping him settling the new technique.
Like I said, I am no expert but this is the scuttlebut I have overheard.
I also think his brain box is discombobulated, and frankly he doesn't need the dough so where is the motivation?

I used to love watching him. Now it is just painful. I can't think of anyone that has gone from hero to zero so quickly. Even Tony Conigliaro had a few good years after his injury.

It is...as golfer and a golf fan....he's tough to watch...almost feel bad for him , but , he isn't the only golfer to have a injury and come back....and in todays world of modern medicine and therapy , i think he uses it more as a excuse.....when things go bad , it's the knee or the swing or something.tigzoe wrote:I used to love watching him. Although, this is totally different, I recall when some of the old guys like Arnie and Jack started having their health problems and changing their game, they kept going because of their fans! They have always had their fans backing and that seemed to keep them out there...I like how they were so respected and fortunate to be able to design golf courses, etc. So many facets of the game of golf for them.
I too feel like it is a pain to watch Tiger struggle and wish him well. I also wonder about the steroid use and how it may have contributed to a LOT of his problems if he WAS using them to excess.
Que Sera Sera...it sure has made watching more interesting since...
"Tiger Wood NOT winning"
Now off to watch a great playoff! Poor Dufner!
Sad for him...

Re: For the Golfers out there
One more little thing...I think Tiger is a bit conflicted about spending quality time with his children too when he really needs to keep and stay close to them.
It really adds a dynamic to the personal feelings "tugging" at him.

But it is how dramatic life imploded for him. With Daly, it was the alcohol. With Tiger, it was his whole life...every aspect of it. His personal, physical, and mental life came crashing down. I dont know how you cone back from that.TommyBahama wrote:It is...as golfer and a golf fan....he's tough to watch...almost feel bad for him , but , he isn't the only golfer to have a injury and come back....and in todays world of modern medicine and therapy , i think he uses it more as a excuse.....when things go bad , it's the knee or the swing or something.tigzoe wrote:I used to love watching him.
