We've had a lot more fun in KW at times when it is less crowded.
I've been to KW more times not during MoTM than I have during. I've also been a few times during Bike Week, Hemingway Days, and Key West Pride (which was purely by accident, by the way ). While I've enjoyed the times I've been able to spend with friends there, I also have some very good memories of the other, not so crowded times, as well.

Never having been to MOTM, Larry, can you tell me is it worthwhile to attend at least once in a lifetime?????
Define worthwhile. The 5 times I went I had a good time but I have to say, it was a little less fun each time. I'm a Buffett fan, not a trop rock fan. I don't like trop rock that much because, and I know I'm in the minority here, in my opinion most trop rock artists just aren't very good. Your, and others', mileage may vary. To me, it isn't worthwhile spending the amount of money you have to spend to get to and stay in Key West for MOTM because I don't want to see most of the artists that are performing there and I don't want to hear 20 cover versions of Margaritaville or Cheeseburger In Paradise or Come Monday or, well, you get my drift. And to go because there's a chance Jimmy may show up? He showed up 2 of the 5 times I went and he played pretty much the same songs he plays at all the shows.
Thanks.....
On most days I say: "Wrinkles only go where the smiles have been...."
Sometimes I can only say: "There is no dumbass vaccine......"
If something or someone gets you down, just remember: "In a hundred years it all won’t matter.........."
I went to KW 3 times prior to finding out about MOTM, while it was fun it's MUCH MORE fun during MOTM! Seeing people I don't see often makes all the difference.

Thousands of like-minded friends, GREAT music, sub-tropical weather, fantastic food.....what more could you want ? I will definitely make an effort to go sometime in the future because it is SO worth it, even though it is kind of expensive. In past years, I've saved money so I wouldn't have to worry about the cost, expecially the liquor bills.
I'm gonna be watching all the Key West webcams and looking for all my friends from BN.
has the KWFD taken you off the watch list yet?
Well, no....they forgave me for the burning carpet (the hotel is there no more..NOT MY FAULT!!!), and the assaulting of the parking meters, but that grass thing............. I SWEAR I WAS TALKING ABOUT THE GRASS ON THE GROUND !!!!!
Do not resent growing old. Many are denied the privilege.
Having been both places, KW just seems a better destination. Vegas is nice to see, but it didn't feel right (well, except for the trip to In' N' Out Burger )

Fat Burger
now, if they were across the street from each other, I'd force myself to taste-test them

You're obsessed with Fat Burger.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Never been either. Maybe we should get together every November on some little MI island...Mackinac Island maybe?
Wait a minute....Mackinac Island in November? We might have to move up our date about three months.
I'm In!!
Actually, I'm surprised there isn't a BN movement (somehow that doesn't sound quite right) to meet up at Cheeseburger in Caseville in August. It sounds like a mini-MoTM to me. Plenty of Trop-Rock & a pretty liberal alcoholic beverage policy around town. PLENTY of beach! Other goofy activities abound. Only downside is not much for accomodations. I think you have reserve verrrry early for campground.
I'm in for Cheeseburger! Thanks for the reminder as I will be checking out the websites tonite and trying to call in the a.m. for a spot or two. Kid one will be on the traditional school schedule next summer so I'm dragging him to Caseville for Cheeseburger Usually they start school that week so it's been hard to actually commit to go and stay. That would be oodles of fun to have a bunch of pholks there for a few days. Not sure my liver can handle it but it's worth a shot (or three....)
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......
