Landshark isn't horrible, in my book, but it's not great either. I'll drink it. Similar to Corona, which I drink in Key West but almost never buy. I agree that a cold Carib beats a Landshark or a Corona. Can't remember the name of the house brew at Margaritaville but it's decent.

At home I prefer Sam Adams Lager, Sam Seasonal (Oktoberfest is my favorite) and a wide variety of microbrews, leaning toward reds. But actually, I prefer wine to beer at home for the most part.

When I'm with my friends in NC I drink Miller Light. And it's perfect. :D

My opinion on LandShark is that it's not bad if the price is right...and for me the right price is free. 8) If someone buys me a beer, I don't complain. A polite thank you is all you will hear from me. However, if I'm buying, it usually comes down to either Smithwick's, Red Stripe or on the rare occasion I can find something like a Rogue Dead Guy or Full Sail ale down here, I have to order it as a matter of home state pride. I don't miss the snow in Oregon one bit, but they do have some good beer.

I've also found that the taste of a beer can be very much affected by the time, place, and circumstances surrounding its consumption. To be perfectly honest, the Belikin enjoyed while lounging on the deck of a beautiful sailboat after an amazing day of snorkeling off of Ambergris Caye, Belize is the best damn beer I have ever had.

The above beers look good, do they sell in Maui?

BTW I'm sort of undecided between Corona and Landshark... I'm not fond of either one actually (sorry Garry) but I can almost drink Landshark if I add some tequila to the mix :) Maybe it's because every time I get a corona, the bartender/waitress thinks I want lemon in it?

One of our "social clubs" in Steelton, PA serves Landshark on tap. Costs about
$1.75 a mug. It's not too bad on draft. Could have to do with those clear bottles.
Never a good idea to bottle beer in clear glass. :pirate:

I much preferred the beer on draft rather than bottle.
But if its a choice of nothing or a bottle then a bottle is fine by me!

I love me some Loaded Landsharks.
Drink a big swig, add a jigger of Bicardi Limon into the bottle, carefully turn over the bottle, holding your hand over the top and drink. I swear, the combination is delicious. CAUTION: very very potent. 8)

See any beer that needs , lemon, lime, limon (or anything other than barley or other grains, hops, yeast and water) in it is really admitting that it is a crap beer....

Having said that, Landshark does need something, I was thinking something strong like Pernod.

I felt the same way when the whole "Corona and lime" thing got going, and continued with the Leinie line of fruited/flavored beer. You shouldn't have to ram a chunk of lime down the neck to drink a beer any more than you should need to cover a filet mignon with ketchup.

I love landshark but I'm more of a Sam Adams, New Castle or Red Stripe kinda guy. Usually around St. Pattys Day I'll get on a Killians kick.

Has anyone tried Moose Beer?
When we were at Epcot recently we went over to Canada and had a couple of Moose Beers.
I thought it was pretty good.

Are you sure you didn't mean "MOOSEHEAD Beer"??

Their marketing slogan — one of them, anyway — is that it is "Head and Antlers Above the Rest".
I don't know if it's necessarily all *that* good, but it's not too bad.
And you don't need to shove no chunk of lime down the neck of the bottle!
