Reason for the last minute, I am short on cash right now to buy tickets.PHnSC wrote:Go for it Ravi!! Not only do you get to see Jimmy, but you have beautiful historic Charleston to go around.aeroparrot wrote:Thinking about it but it may be a last minute trip.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Re: Who's Going To Charleston?!?!? 2-2-12
Observations from a N. Charleston concert. Went to see Darius Rucker/Justin Moore/Thompson Square last night. Sat in the next to the last row, right side upper. Was kind of worried about the seats, but after being there, I don't think there is a bad seat. Parking was $5, there was some tailgating, but not on a Buffett scale. Still, good to see that tailgating seems to be allowed. Not much police presence, but again, it wasn't the same scale as Feb 2 will be. Parking lot was fairly easy to exit after, maybe 30 minutes from seats to car to road. Inside, plenty of beer stands as well as stands selling Pina Colada's, Margarita's and various other mixed and Boat Drinks. $7.50 16oz drafts, $8.50 for 24oz cans (they pour, no cans allowed inside). Credit/debit taken for drinks and snacks. The terrace area has a variety of food, including Papa John's pizza, Chik-Fil-A, cheesesteaks, BBQ sandwiches, gyro's as well as chicken strips, burgers, hot dogs, etc. Also some cash bars selling mixed drinks and (plastic) bottled beer. Signs state alcohol sales end at 10:15. Sound quality was good, and there were 4 video screens. Don't know how much of this will be the same for Jimmy's show, but just thought I would share my observations, as I had never seen a concert there and was curious how it would be. Think it will be awesome. Smaller venue, good sight and sound. Can't wait!!
Live. Love. Laugh. Repeat.

Just picked my vacation for next year and ended up with the week of the concerts off!!!!!
Seeking some info on which one to attend. Any insight is welcomed. Our show at Jones beach this year was a little screwed up with the weather, so trying to sell wife on another road trip.
We had a great time in Raleigh in april.
Thanks
Steve

Wow that is great....why not go to all three! Just Kidding. Which one to attend...that is a tough one. I chose Charleston because I could drive to it and some other great BNers will be there. My better half and I love the city, so it was an easy sell to her. The Group Homemade Wine has been playing nearby Charleston pretty often so I'm holding out hope that they will play the night before or after Jimmy's show. I have never been to a show in Jacksonville so I don't have any input on that city. Miami would be a great place to be in January though, looks like a good number of Bners will be there and with BNers you will always have a good time. Would love to see y'all in Charleston, It should be a fun time. Raleigh was a lot of fun this year!familyof5parrottheads wrote:Hey ChadParrothead27330 wrote:
